Largo Miguel Bombarda 23 Espaço Porto Cruz, Vila Nova de Gaia 4400-222 Portugal
What travelers say:
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at DeCastro Gaia. The restaurant was very kind to accommodate our request for a table adjacent to a window with a terrific view of the bridge. Both appetizers and entres were excellent, as was the selection of ports. The dining room is a great size, not too large yet intimate at the same time. We did not venture upstairs to the roof terrace, although there is a relatively steady stream of guests passing through the dining room en route to the roof. We would happily return again when next in Porto.

Excellent service, relaxed ambience, great decor and interiors and lovely food. And fun to head upstairs to the rooftop bar afterwards!
Elegant restaurant with a delightful view over the river Douro and the bridge.Delicious Portuguese food with culinary creativity and skill.Attentive service. Loved it.
Nice restaurant, good food, good service, which, for the price, you would expect. However, it didn't start well when we were told we must wait 12 mins for the restaurant to open. Not "Welcome, come in, have a drink while you wait" just a gesture to wait nearby. When we sat at a table nearby we were told that these tables were reserved for wine tasting only. I suggested we would only be 10 (12....) mins. To which the guy sneered and shrugged his shoulders. When we were finally allowed into the "promised land" of the restaurant it was clear that other customers had been in there for quite a while. A totally baffling and completely unnecessarily unpleasant start to the evening.
Little tricky and inconvenient to get to the actual restaurant as it's housed in the Cruz winery building After that everything was excellent. Added bonus they put us in the small dining room facing the river.
