Al Giardino Review

This restaurant is just opposite the Civic Park. We came to Taormina in the off-season in winter, and this restaurant was not open. From the outside, it looks like a Sicilian-style Italian restaurant, and it also serves full meals. There are many hotels nearby! Of course, even the hotels are closed in winter.

Fantastic food and great service, made us feel very special! Also very good value as this is an expensive town for dinner and Al Giardino was top level food at much more reasonable prices

It’s a beautiful setting - across from the public gardens. The food was very good and the service was as well. Salvatore was very attention and gave good recommendations.

Been to Al Giardino tonight, and have to say, the food was excellent, the equal or better than many of the other restaurants in town. We’ve been to Taormina 5 times and so have sampled many. The reception, seating and initial attentions were great. The starter, fried ricotta and honey, and the mains were fantastic! However, following that, we appeared forgotten! We were left for 45 minutes with no dessert enquiry. When we eventually attracted some attention, we ordered. 15 minutes later, nothing arrived. We requested the bill, which took another 8-10 minutes. We were there nearly two hours, had two excellent courses, and paid 75 euros. Previous evening, we paid 78 euros elsewhere, had three courses, and were done in just over an hour. Food and wine were special, the rest…..hmmmmmm!

We had seen recommendations for the restaurant and decided to book for lunch, it was excellent in all areas. Great friendly service, excellent food and value for money. Staff engaged in conversation and were attentive
