Must-visit in Toronto | The Art Gallery of Ontario, which you can’t see enough in one visit
❤️Chinese name: Art Gallery of Ontario
English name: Art Gallery Of Ontario
Abbreviation: AGO
Recommendation index:
The art gallery is located in downtown Toronto and is the 8th largest art museum in North America, with more than 40,000 collections.
Among the exhibits, the famous ones include a series of works by British sculptor Henry Moore (occupying a large exhibition hall on the second floor). There are often temporary special exhibitions of famous painters. Last year I saw the Rubens exhibition, and this time I went to see the promotional posters for the Picasso special exhibition in June 2020.
And the most attractive (especially for girls) is the mirror house infinity mirrors of the polka dot queen Yayoi Kusama‼ ️And it is a permanent exhibition in the museum, not a temporary exhibition with a limited time like in New York
There is an orange spiral staircase in the middle hall of the museum, which is a popular online celebrity. It is very Instagram-style for taking photos. You can spiral up to the fifth floor from the staircase and see the CN Tower
During some Sunday hours, there are free nude models on site in the lobby on the first floor for the public to copy and sketch (of course, taking photos is prohibited)

Practical tips
1⃣️You can upgrade to an Annual Pass for only 35 Canadian dollars. For non-local residents, people over 25 years old, and those who visit Toronto more than once a year, a visit costs 25 Canadian dollars, and it is worth the price of the annual pass if you go twice. However, some special exhibitions may only be for gallery members (member card holders are required)
2⃣️Photography is allowed in the gallery (flashlights, tripods, etc. are not allowed❎). Some exhibits are marked with the words "No photography", and visitors still need to abide by the regulations.
3⃣️Yayoi Kusama's Mirror House is next to the cafe on the second floor. You need to make an appointment in advance on the tablet computer at the entrance️, select the time period in English (40 people per time period), leave your mobile phone number (Chinese numbers are also acceptable) and email address, and then calculate the time and go to the mirror house door in advance to queue up. It is recommended to avoid peak hours and go early. I went there when it opened on Friday morning, so there was no need to queue up at all✌
