Auberge du Chasseur is and has been a restaurant on the edge of forest of Rambouillet for more than 40 years and remains a meeting place for friends to enjoy a fantastic meal and pass a evening under the summer stars. The food is Michelin star quality and the ambiance is relaxed but stylish in a French countryside opulence. One of my favorite restaurants in France. Dishes are interesting and include traditional plates with new twists … world class restaurant.

    Very limited choice of meals. Noisy ambiance. Expensive bill not really justified considering the quality & finesse of meals & drinks.I wouldn’t recommend that restaurant !

    A wonderful evening! We were very well received despite a late reservation and immediately appreciated the setting and the tasteful decor. The wines are chosen from the cellar, without pressure, and the menu is varied—without excess—which guarantees the freshness of the ingredients. The vegetables are diverse, and the combination of flavors is fine and subtle. The plates are generous enough, and we thoroughly enjoyed them. We fell in love with the pecan millefeuille… to die for! It was a lovely discovery, and we will return to introduce our friends to this restaurant.

    A small country restaurant where excellence is always at the rendezvous. We have been loyal customers since the beginning. The chefs change (Mr. Comar now and Mr. Pichafroy before) but the quality is consistent. If we had to make a few small remarks, we would say to offer the superb cheese platter and not limit ourselves to a selection of 3 (a little frustrating), and to improve the dessert offerings. Special mention for the hare à la royale tasted in season and of course their admirable cellar!
