Auberge du Chasseur RESTAURANT Review

What a nice ambiance, delicious food and very friendly service. Thanks to The Fork for helping us find this as a last minute Saturday evening dinner!

Auberge du Chasseur is and has been a restaurant on the edge of forest of Rambouillet for more than 40 years and remains a meeting place for friends to enjoy a fantastic meal and pass a evening under the summer stars. The food is Michelin star quality and the ambiance is relaxed but stylish in a French countryside opulence. One of my favorite restaurants in France. Dishes are interesting and include traditional plates with new twists … world class restaurant.

Good food, good quality and creative cooking. Perfect service, friendly but not obtrusive. Can't be faulted.

We were very welcome despite a late reservation and we first enjoyed the frame and the delicate decoration. The wine is chosen in the winehouse, without pressure, and the card is varied - without excess, which guarantees the freshness of the products. The wooden woods are very good and we have been giving ourselves a little bit of heart for the pecan nuts... to fall in the ground! It was a beautiful discovery and we will come back to discover this table to our friends.

The hotel is a small country restaurant where excellentness is always at the meeting. We have been loyal customers since the beginning. The bosses change (Mr. Comar now and before Mr. Pichafroy) but quality is constant. If we were to make a few small comments, we said to offer the superb cheese plate and not to restrict a selection of 3 (a little frustrating), and to improve the dessert offer. Special mention for the lamb to the royal tasted in season and of course their admirable cave !
