Lovely little wine bar/restaurant. Generous servings of very well cooked and presented food. Welcoming, friendly and attentive service.

A true French bistro experience (I'm French so I can testify), waiters are very friendly and helpful explaining the menu, the chef comes around to discuss... always a great time dining at Black bottle!

An excellent dining experience - we were warmly greeted at seated at a nice table in their courtyard. The menu was varied & explained - the specials of the day (mussels & lamb cutlets) were recommended & so glad we had them. Fresh, juicy & perfectly cooked - portions were generous & the sides were perfect accompaniment. Service was friendly & upbeat. Many locals started coming in & the staff obviously knew them well - a testament to the restaurant with their repeat customers obviously returning. Prices are reasonable & definitely will be back.

I have eaten in all of the big name restaurants in Sydney and the food at the Black Bottle is up there with the best. Every dish we had was outstanding, the flavours were magnificent. The open kitchen along with the fantastic waiters just top off a night to remember. We will be back very soon.

So glad we found this place on TheFork - their Thursday evening bistro menu is amazing value. 3 courses including a glass of wine for under $60! Half our table dined from the Thursday menu and half from the a la carte and we were very impressed with all the dishes, cocktails and wine. Great courtyard out the back - even though it’s just off Victoria Street it’s very quiet and great ambience. We’ll definitely be back again!
