Budai'ao Review

Budai Bay is a bay in the New Territories of Hong Kong, China. It is located in the south, east of Tin Ha Shan and Clear Water Bay Country Park, north of Temple Bay and Fo Tang Mun Tin Hau Temple (Tai Temple), south of Clear Water Bay, and west of the Clear Water Bay Country Club Golf Course. The entrance to Budai Bay is in the north, with Shek Wei Tou and Ha Kok Tou to the east and west of the entrance respectively. There is a fish farm in Budai Bay, and nearby Tai Au Mun Road and Budai Village Road can reach Budai Village. Most of the villagers in this village are Hakka aboriginals with the surname Bu and Deng, who run seafood business and local tourism. Budai Bay is surrounded by mountains on three sides, and the northwest estuary is narrow, just like a bag, hence the name Budai Bay.

Po Toi O Village is located on the Clear Water Bay Peninsula in Sai Kung, Kowloon. The village is surrounded by mountains, with green grass and green hills and sparkling blue sea. Because the village's environment looks like a Po Toi O, it is called Po Toi O. The village has a history of more than a hundred years and was very prosperous during the Qing Dynasty. Most of the villagers make a living by breeding fisheries, and the village is famous for its seafood specialties. There are many fish steaks in the village, which is full of fishing port flavor. The village still retains its unique traditional culture. Every Christmas, the villagers must have repayment and celebration activities. From these traditional cultural characteristics, after more than a hundred years of transformation, although the living environment has been modernized, it still insists on retaining the traditional fishing village culture.

My trip was to hike from Wukuaitian to Budai'ao. The whole journey was 8 kilometers and took nearly four hours. It can be said to be a relatively tiring journey. It requires good physical strength and courage. There are dense grass roads to walk along the way. It is recommended to go with more people for safety. The scenery is very beautiful, especially the large and small islands overlooking the sea. It is beautiful. No wonder the rich people in Hong Kong all live in seaside houses.

Budai'ao is a fishing village in Qingshui Bay. The bay has beautiful scenery and is a good place to eat seafood and go on a picnic.
