Café Ilang-Ilang Review

The buffet restaurant of Manila Hotel is one of the best buffet restaurants in Manila. The service is very good and the food variety is also very rich. There are delicacies from all over the world, including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indian, Italian, Mexican and other specialties. The desserts and appetizers are also delicious and exquisite, very memorable.

After leaving the airport on a midnight flight, I was starving, so I quickly found a random restaurant upstairs in the Manila Hotel to fill my stomach. I originally thought that a lunch of 2,300 pesos was not cheap, but it actually tasted great value. There were too many dishes to eat, and the steak was actually wagyu beef, and the Hong Kong-style sweet barbecued pork was a plus. The desserts looked great. The tempura was obviously made by a Japanese chef or a chef who learned cooking in Japan, and the Japanese taste was particularly standard and not too greasy. Fried food was generally too salty, and duck breast was a fusion dish. I originally disdained fusion cuisine, but this time the duck breast made into a cold dish after being sealed with oil was unexpectedly delicious. Overall, except for the excessive use of ingredients (too salty, too sweet, and too much oil, which is inevitable in buffets), everything was great.

2800 per person for lunch is quite a good deal. There are many varieties of food, including steak, noodles, and pasta. The environment is very good. It is the hotel's buffet restaurant, and the classic cars at the door are very interesting.
