Busan is not only a picturesque coastal city, but also a food paradise. During this four-day and three-night trip, let's slowly enjoy the delicious food of Busan.
🦀 Soybean crab
When you come to Korea, you must taste soybean crab!
Store name: Mipojia 미포집 Address: 3 Dalmaji-gil 62beon-gil, Haeundae-gu Recommended reason: A new Internet celebrity store, you often need to queue up. We arrived at 2 pm and waited for more than 20 minutes. The seafood platter in the store is the main attraction, but please note that the platter requires 2 servings. I personally recommend that it is better to order a la carte, because each food in the platter may not suit your personal taste.
Store name: Haemakki Address: 8-10, 2F, 1124-2, Jung-dong, Haeundae-gu Recommended reason: The soybean crab in this store is very delicious, large and plump. Mix the rice with crab roe and wrap it with seaweed. It's super satisfying to take a bite! Recommended are crab sauce and crab soup. There are so many crabs that two people can't finish them.
🐟 Grilled eel
Eel is not only a specialty of Japan, but also has a unique Korean cooking method.
Restaurant name: Suminine Address: 595-4, Jung 2-dong, Haeundae-gu Recommended reason: This is a small restaurant frequented by locals, specializing in seafood barbecue. Grilled eel is paired with perilla leaves and sauces, and tastes delicious. Although eels have some fish bones, the combination has a unique flavor. I also tried live octopus, and the experience is stronger than the taste.
🫓 Sugar cake
Try the local traditional snacks!
Location: Haeundae Traditional Market Recommended reason: Living next to Haeundae Traditional Market, you can see long queues for sugar cakes every night. Sugar cakes are fried cakes made of glutinous rice, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. You can choose to add cheese or nuts such as nutmeg. It is delicious when eaten hot, but it will feel a bit greasy when it is cold. If the queue time is not long, you can try it.
☕ Coffee
Busan’s coffee shops are also a major feature.
Shop name: coralani Address: 32, 부산광역시 기장군 기장읍 기장해안로 Recommended reason: This popular coffee shop is located by the sea. It is very pleasant to sit in the open air in the morning and enjoy the sea view. Recommended specialty coffee Salty Coral, rich in layers. Desserts recommend brownies and egg tarts. Although rainbow cakes are suitable for taking pictures, they taste average.
