Deyue Building is located in the bustling center of Suzhou, the whole building is white wall and tile, moths and corners. The three-character plaque "Deyue Building" is the book of Song Richang, the former chairman of the Shanghai Calligraphy Association. The house is shaped by a flying dragon on both sides, plus the back lace mouth of the cloud pattern, which is exquisite and free, and beautiful.

Suzhou time-honored hotel, has a history of more than 500 years, represented by Subang cuisine, of which Guanqian store is the location of the movie "Xiaoxiao Deyuelou", which has become a punch-in place for Suzhou tourism.

I still remember the movie "Little Moon Tower" when I was a kid. I must try it when I come to Suzhou. I ordered a few signature dishes and was very satisfied. The portions were quite large. Basically, everyone ordered similar dishes, so the dishes were served quickly. Squirrel Mandarin Fish, 188 per piece, a little expensive, super delicious, no bones at all, moderate sweet and sour. But there were no shrimps and pine nuts as shown in the picture, a little rough. Crab powder tofu, pretty good, you can see the crab legs, but there is a little too much ginger. Lotus leaf steamed pork, not greasy or oily, crispy and delicious. Water shield soup, very magical taste, water shield is smooth. Cold dish ordered evergreen, sweet and refreshing.

Deyuelou's Suzhou cuisine is more traditional, with the three specialties being pork knuckle, chicken and duck. The most special of the three is the wild rice stem from the Eight Immortals, which is fresh and refreshing. Squirrel mandarin fish is available all over the country, but Deyuelou's knife skills are first-class. Although Songhelou's squirrel mandarin fish is also cut like a chrysanthemum, the difference lies in the sauce. The authentic one should be made with sweet and sour vinegar, not ketchup.

The location is easy to find. When I took a taxi, the taxi driver said that most Suzhou locals come here. Almost every table ordered squirrel mandarin fish. The two of us spent 330. My husband said it was not as affordable as Northeastern cuisine. Maybe! But when we arrived in Suzhou, it was the small pastry recommended by Tongue 2. Let's give it a try.

Deyuelou is a very distinctive restaurant in Suzhou, with a great location on Guanqian Street. The dishes have the characteristics of Suzhou cuisine, and both the presentation and the taste of the dishes are very good. It is worthy of being a place recommended by everyone. When you come to Suzhou, I think a meal at Deyuelou is a must, and I am very satisfied.

I brought my mother here because of its reputation. The food was delicious. The dumplings were small and cute, but the skin was a bit hard. The water shield and silverfish soup was delicious and suitable for the elderly. The spring rolls were a bit greasy. It was a pity that in such a famous restaurant, the waiters didn't smile at all. They had no expression from beginning to end. Although the food was delicious, I felt disappointed.
