When you go to Haimen Island, seafood is the highlight that you can't miss. It is said that for the locals, if you don't eat seafood when you come to Haimen Island, it is equivalent to not having been here. The biggest impression of the seafood on the island is that it is fresh and affordable.
This time I chose to dine at the "Haimen First" restaurant, located in the south of Haimen Island, only a 5-minute drive from the Haimen Island toll station. Outside the store, there are lobsters, crabs, shrimps and other fresh seafood. It is rare to see so many live seafood, which makes me a little excited. The staff sharpened their knives and slaughtered the seafood.
The decoration of the restaurant is a bit like the style of a food stall, and it feels like the boss's own house. The restaurant does not order dishes, but directly arranges dishes according to the price. A table is about 2,000 yuan, and the per capita cost is about 200 yuan. The dishes are really rich with an average price of 200 yuan per person. Lobster, tiger prawns, scallops, black-eared eels, shrimp steaks, crabs, grouper and other seafood are super addictive. It is a seafood feast with a high cost-effectiveness. The most powerful thing is that the seafood here is particularly fresh. The tiger prawns are super large, the mantis shrimps are particularly plump, the fish tastes particularly tender, and the crab meat is chewy, all thanks to the freshness of the seafood. It is rare to eat seafood so happily. If you eat the same seafood in Xiamen, it is estimated to be much more expensive, and it is not guaranteed to be so fresh. The only drawback is that the seafood is relatively simple, a bit like a rural buffet.
This restaurant has good business. If you want to go there to taste seafood, remember to make an appointment one or two days in advance. If you go there temporarily, you may not be able to eat it.
