After visiting two scenic spots in Fuxian Lake, I was ready to have lunch at around 3pm. I drove here after reading the reviews.
[Environment] The restaurant is right next to the road around the lake. There are several parking spaces at the door. You can see the lake view through the trees. The scenery is still very pleasant. It's just that there are quite a few cars on this road, and the noise is a bit unsightly when passing by.
[Service] It should be a family-run restaurant. They are very hospitable and patient in recommending dishes. Because we are small and can't eat too much, they also flexibly make small and medium portions.
[Taste] We bought a 1.5 kg set meal of Mandarin fish and copper pot fish in a group purchase, and added anti-wave fish and drunken shrimp.
| Copper pot fish^ The fish is freshly processed and cooked. Drink the soup before eating, and then serve it with the dipping sauce prepared by the store. The portion is large and the fish meat is relatively tender. The local name "Guiyu" is not the scientific name. I am very curious about what kind of fish it is. If you know, please enlighten me.
The |whitebait cakes^, |fried lotus root slices^ and |copper pot rice and potato rice^ in the set meal tasted OK, but I couldn't finish them so I packed them up.
|Anti-wave fish^ is a local specialty and the most expensive fish in the lake, 900 per kilogram, 280 per serving. We ordered a medium portion and tried it. It was about 20 per fish. It was fried crispy and crispy. The head, tail and bones can be eaten directly. The freshness is definitely good, but the taste is nothing special. It's mainly for the specialties.
|Drunken shrimp^ Considering that the lake is a first-class water source, the water quality must be very good, so we ordered live shrimp. The river shrimp is relatively small, which is different from the commonly eaten drunken shrimp. There are many ingredients here, such as a bunch of chili, garlic and mint leaves, so it tastes heavier.
In general, it is a local specialty restaurant worth trying.
