I came to Heshan with a tour group and stayed at the Sheraton Hotel at the foot of Dayan Mountain. The room included breakfast. Breakfast was served at the buffet restaurant on the underground floor. There was no receptionist at the entrance of the restaurant. I went in and found any waiter. They would help me swipe the room card and verify the number of guests. I felt that we were too self-conscious to swipe the card, right? You just went in and sat down to eat, and it seemed that no one would care about you. The food was relatively rough, not as exquisite as that of a five-star hotel, but the variety was quite rich and you could eat enough. The freshly boiled noodles were really unpalatable. The noodles were all boiled and served in bowls. If you wanted to add kelp, enoki mushrooms, green vegetables, etc., you could. The waiter would directly pick up a few slices from a large bowl for you. It looked like picking something out of a trash can, and the food was cooked for too long and it was unpalatable. The restaurant was quite large. It might have been fully booked that day, so many people had breakfast the next day. The seats near the food area were all full, so we had to sit farther away. There were still some dirty food residues on the table that had not been wiped clean.
