Danshuilaopai'agei (danshuiyuanchuang) Review

The so-called A Gei is something that looks like tofu skin, wrapped with vermicelli, radish and meat, and the sauce is poured on the outside. I ordered a slightly spicy one, and it turned out to be really spicy. We didn't order Jay Chou's set meal.

It was already past 2pm but there were still many people queuing at the door. I learned that Jay Chou was a frequent visitor here when he was in school, so it attracted a large number of tourists. The store even launched a Jay Chou set meal: A Gei + steamed buns + fish balls.

The shop is busy and the environment is average, but the taste is really good. The first picture is A-gei. Before I went there, I heard that you should eat A-gei in Tamsui. I thought A-gei was just the name of a shop. It turns out that the shop is named after A-gei (it seems to be vermicelli wrapped in tofu, but I can't really tell what sauce is added). It is really unique.

I ordered Jay Chou's set meal. Actually, A-gei is vermicelli wrapped in tofu! You must bite through the tofu skin and eat it with the stewed meat! The meat buns are not very special, just the taste of meat buns hahaha. After drinking the soup, you can add more for free and you can do it yourself. You must eat it when you go to Tamsui!

Agei is a famous snack in Tamsui - hollowed-out fried tofu, filled with vermicelli, and topped with a special sauce, it tastes amazing. There are shops selling Agei everywhere in Tamsui, and it is a must-try for every tourist to Tamsui.
