El Meson de Cervantes Review

This restaurant is in the old town of walking in the center of the city. The hotel needs to be booked. Otherwise, there are many people. The decoration in the restaurant is very beautiful, the waiter is very good, the dishes are very rich, 20 euros per capita, and the food is very good. It’s nice to take a walk on the pedestrian street after eating.

Meals match, high nutrition, hundreds of times better than fast food

A cosy restaurant with a wonderful ambiance. Good food and outstanding wines selection. Though busy the service was excellent. A most enjoyable evening.

We enjoyed our evening at El Mesón de Cervantes and I can see why it is popular with tourists and locals alike. The food was fabulous and well priced. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was quite busy, even for a seating prior to 8 pm, so the timing for the arrival of the dishes seemed to depend mostly on when they were ready in the kitchen and not for the diner’s experience This was the only reason I didn’t give a full 5 stars rating and wished I was allowed 1/2 stars.

This was my second visit to El Meson de Cervantes the previous was a few years ago. I firstly recognised some of the staff from previously, which I took as a good sign. Again the food was excellent! We had a selection of tapas, mainly seafood & fish. All was amazing & a reasonable price, we felt for the food & the cava. I hope I can visit again some time. I always recommend this place when I hear somebody is visiting Malaga!
