HARVEST ROOM Review

A very great dining experience. I will visit this restaurant frequently in the future. Although the price is a bit expensive, I think it is worth it. After all, you get what you pay for. The wine and beverage variety here is very complete.

What a beautiful experience! In a historical hotel, beautiful setting, wonderful service and fantastic food. All combined - Well worth the cost. The two of us went to the High Tea at the Hotel Mac in the Harvest Room to celebrate a birthday. If you are celebrating something, let them know when you book your reservation. The food is amazing and so much of it! Be hungry when you get there. The service is exemplary, making one feel like the Queen herself. At the end of the high tea (or afternoon tea it's now called), go on the offered tour of the hotel - it's amazing. And if you have time - tour the gardens and patio at the back of the hotel - they are beautiful.

We had a wonderful dinner for3. The lobster chowder was rich and delicious, the rare and medium rare fillets with oxtail ragout could be cut with a fork and dessert excellent. The wine was well chosen for us and all was good. We then retired to the lounge for a nightcap.

We had a wonderful celebration for 80th birthday with our family of 18 in the dining room. I booked the balcony for 5:30 to have champagne and salmon appetizers. They served us very nicely. Provided sparkling apple drink for the kids too. We then proceeded to the dining room and we each had the $67 set menu of 3 items. Funny we all ordered the tenderloin and everyone loved it! Kids menu was really good too. Good wine menu. In lieu of dessert we ordered a birthday cake and it was lovely. So easy to deal with the dining room staff and would recommend to anyone.

Great historic hotel. Worth a visit just for the view but the food was outstanding too. Great service.
