In the morning in Kuala Lumpur, I went to Ho Kau Coffee Shop with my Malaysian colleagues. It is a coffee shop with a history of more than 50 years, and it is now run by the grandchildren of the founder.
Customers lined up in front of the shop for breakfast early in the morning, and you have to wait patiently during lunch time. There are many tourists who come here because of its reputation.
We waited for 40 minutes before we got a table. Looking at the traditional menu, in addition to traditional dishes, a lot of new dishes have been added.
I like to drink their signature Hainanese tea and Hainanese coffee, which are rich and smooth.
The breakfast we ordered was traditional kaya butter toast with raw and boiled eggs, croissants, curry rice rolls, nasi lemak and fried rice noodles. The restaurant also sells some dim sum.
