Humphreys Restaurant Review

The scenery inside is quite good, the steak is delicious, the lamb chops are also quite good, this lamb chop is very large, the meat is very delicate, I like it very much, there is a pier outside, the scenery is really first class.

I stayed at the hotel and decided to eat locally on my last night in town. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was Very good. Fresh rolls. Good size portions and not run of the mill.

My partner stayed at San Marcos in San Diego for 3 weeks and stayed at Humphreys for the last 2 days of our stay. When the restaurant closed, we decided to dine at the Half Moon Hotel restaurant. By Jackie, who was a very sweet and fun server and made the experience great. The food was decent enough, (I had a bit of a sick stomach) so I was 100% old. But I ate well. Jackie was focused, (though not very aggressive). The atmosphere was good, the music was decent, and the conversation was easy. Jackie was a very nice lady and we enjoyed our conversation, she listened, joined in and enjoyed what we had to say. The next night we had dinner there again and Paige came and he was very focused and funny and the next lunchtime was just as much as Annie. The whole dining experience was excellent. If the food and choice were good, this would be a 5 star, not four (or no staff), maybe three. This proves that the staff had a dining experience most of the time. I am not a negative, but perhaps Humphretys should check the food choices.

We had a meeting at this hotel and then everyone had dinner here. You will find that the service here is the best in any aspect. The owner and proprietress of the restaurant are particularly friendly and helpful. The waiters are excellent. The food here is also well prepared. The lamb is made into exactly three or four cooked, plus some condiments, and it is beautifully placed. I am looking forward to coming here again next time.

We were in San Diego in March 2016. Every morning we would go to the breakfast chain restaurant and my husband liked them for breakfast on States Island. There are some restaurants serving them in Canada but it was hard to find. I heard that some people lived there, Humphreys had a great breakfast. I finally convinced my husband to try it on our last day. What a discovery. Hope we left early. The restaurant is beautiful, looking at the boats moored in the harbor. Just a wonderful environment to enjoy a comfortable breakfast. I like the table with napkins and linen, with good chinese and glassware. The breakfast was good and the service was special. Prices are the same as those for nearby diners, so why not sit a little higher and enjoy this upscale restaurant with extraordinary views? Love it.
