Modern appearance but service with charm, knowledge, and pride. Opted for a la carte menu although tasting menu options were intriguing. Foue gras encased in cherry jam was unique and a definite fusion of tastes. Sea food foundation for the restaurant brought out the best in the hake fish. The bread course has a wheat sourdough with a variety of butters and spreads on which we grazed throughout the evening. Dessert? We had the lemon custard with cinnamon and the chocolate mouse with espresso infusion. Each course explained. Server knowledgable on wines to meet the challenge we posed for a red to pair with our fish entrees. He deconstructed the challenge into taste elements for various regions and varietals.

A Truly Exceptional Dining Experience From start to finish, our visit to this fine-dining restaurant was nothing short of extraordinary. The star-level cuisine showcased incredible craftsmanship, with each dish perfectly executed and beautifully presented. One of the highlights was the seamless flexibility of the kitchen—we were able to swap the main course from the Seafood Menu for one from the Indiferente Menu without any issue, which made the experience even more personalized. The wine pairing was outstanding, carefully selected to enhance the flavors of each dish. A special mention goes to Bernardo, whose expertise and passion for wine truly elevated the afternoon. His recommendations were spot-on, and his enthusiasm was contagious. Above all, the impeccable service made the afternoon unforgettable. Jaime, our host, ensured that everything ran smoothly and made us feel truly welcome. His warmth and attention to detail turned an already exquisite meal into a remarkable experience.

We ordered second tasting menu and it took about 3 hours to finish our dinner.Almost all dishes were very well presented and tasty.We were not big fans of foie gras because it was on very sweet side, but the rest of the dishes were outstanding. Desert lovers will be in paradise. Overall it was very enjoyable.

I've eaten in 3 star restaurants with inferior service. Cooking: bold creative perfection . Thank you for a memorable repas...I wish you a well deserved star!!!

Excellent experience, this restaurant alone is worth a trip to Foz do Douro. We had one the two available menus and some of the dishes we tried were simply mind blowing! Staff members were really nice and the portuguese wines suggested were adequate for this top level culinary experience. Congratulations to the Chef and all the staff!
