JIN YUE XUAN Review

We had dinner here as our first stop in Zhuhai. The whole family booked a private room and ordered many dishes. The seafood and desserts were all very well made. The location is also very good. I really like their roast goose and will go there again next time I have the chance.

There are still two very good morning tea shops in Zhuhai, Jinyuexuan and Jinyuan. This one is also very good, very delicious, and there are many people. You need to queue up in advance. Anyway, it’s right to come early. I like the breakfast here.

This old restaurant located on Qinglu South Road is a gold medal gourmet restaurant in Zhuhai. All the food is of high quality, especially the teriyaki baby duck, which has crispy skin, smooth meat, and rich flavor. If you can sit by the window, you can enjoy the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge while eating.

I went there specifically for morning tea and dinner! It was really delicious! However, a 15[%] service charge will be added during the Chinese New Year. The tea fee in the lobby is 9 yuan/person, and the private room is 13 yuan/person. The dim sum fried milk is sweet and sticky, the almond crisps are crispy, and the snowflake beef buns are delicious! I ordered a lot of dim sum, all of which were very delicious. The sea emperor soup for dinner was very delicious, and the first-class fried rice was also very fragrant! The barbecued pork was also great, fat but not greasy. The pigeon was a little small, but it was very tasty and tender. The 4-head prawns seemed a little small. You can see the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge from the lobby, which is great, but a little noisy.

I always thought that the best morning tea was in Guangzhou, but this Jinyuexuan in Zhuhai made me look at it differently. Every dim sum and porridge product was very good, and the lava buns refreshed my understanding of this dim sum. These are ordinary homely foods in Guangdong restaurants, but they are what I miss day and night after I left. It is a very strange feeling similar to that of my hometown, but where is my hometown?

We had dinner at Jinyuexuan for two days in Zhuhai. The seats were spacious and there were many customers during meal time, but it was not very noisy. The roast goose was much cheaper than the one in Macau next door. The seafood was very fresh and tasted good. Free side dishes and fruits were served before and after the meal. The waiter would ask if we could help with the shelled seafood. The tea was also added diligently. The service was very good.

The restaurant has a good environment, the lobby faces the Guangzhou-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and has a beautiful view. The service staff are very polite and provide good service. We ordered barbecued pork sausage with preserved vegetables, fried glutinous rice and chicken, sweet and sour pork, shrimp dumplings, bamboo shoot and minced fish porridge, czarist buns, and bird's nest pudding. They tasted very good, especially the shrimp dumplings, which were very chewy. We also ordered chicken feet, which were just average. In addition, a 10% service charge was added, and the final checkout was ¥256. The price was reasonable, and I will patronize it again next time I go to Zhuhai.

An old Cantonese restaurant, the taste, environment and service are all great. Although it was not a holiday when I went there, the restaurant was full of cars and I had to wait in line for half an hour before I could get a seat. I suggest you call and make a reservation in advance. After ordering, I waited for almost half an hour before the food was served. I was so hungry. The shrimp dumplings and chicken feet were my favorites. I wanted to order another one, but the waiter said it would take another half an hour to serve them, so I had to leave with a little regret...
