Yuyuan Tea House
Address: 475 Penang Road, George Town (near the famous Teochew Cendol at Penang Road)
A time-honored shop in Penang. There are really many coffee shops and tea houses in Penang. People here like to go to tea houses
The signature red bean Cendol is really good. A bowl is not expensive, only 3 yuan. The red beans in it are very sweet and soft. I love it. The brown sugar is super rich. You can tell that it is the kind that you make yourself. It tastes great after adding ice. I feel that after a bowl, it not only relieves the heat, but also makes your words sweeter. Haha.
Kee noodles are added with shrimps, bean sprouts, sweet sausages, and eggs. After frying, it feels like eating dry fried beef noodles. However, it is a combination of meat and vegetables, and there are not too many seasonings. It is actually quite refreshing.
Oyster omelette actually tastes good in itself, but oysters are something that you will really get sick of if you eat a few more bites in this way. The eggs are very tender. They are still tender even after being fried like this. This skill is also great.
Overall, red bean desserts are highly recommended.
