L'Alcyone Review

The waiting staff were superb. Very friendly and interacting with humour with us and the children. The food was delicious. Seafood platter starters , the Honfleurise seafood bisque , burgers , salads...all delicious

The staff was wonderful. Easygoing, friendly and professional. The food was just ok. The drinks and dessert, however, were amazing. Nice place to go for a romantic meal. The merlu was disappointing and the lamb roll was full of gristle. It's such a nice place, just try something else!

We had a wonderful family dinner at L’Alcyone. Very nice menu, nice wine selection and great service.

Nice brasserie style food. Their classic burger for 13.50 was very tasty! Also their formule with 19.00 for 2 courses was good also. The poke bowl was nice and the piece of meat was nice too! The service was so and so as the one waiter started to speak Spanish to me and because i couldn't understand (as i speak Greek and French) I asked her politely to speak French to me. Later she was ignoring me and stopped talking to me! The other waitress instead was friendly and helpful!Overall, nice food at good prices in a touristy place like Honfleur!

L’Alcyone is a very cute bistro in this charming little hamlet. Set back a bit from the main waterfront, it lends itself less touristy. We were over 30 minutes late for our reservation and even though they were very busy they worked to accommodate us. All the wait staff was very nice and accommodating and our waiter was very kind and patient with my bad French. He came to greet us right away and took our order. Our drinks came out about 2 minutes later, faster than any restaurant we’ve been to in Normandie. The waiters were literally running around but not rude and harried at all. Our food came very quickly and was great. The seafood plate which is advertised for one, fed the whole table and was very fresh. The bread was so good!! The pizzas were devoured by the kids and my daughters poke bowl was delicious. They only forgot to not put the dressing on the side for our salads but other than that it was perfect. I highly recommend!
