What wonderful service, delicious food and a lovely ambiance! We had such a lovely evening, we had great wine pairing recommendations and really could have eaten here every night. Delicious and wonderful service! Thank you L'esprit gourmand - we will come back!

January/February are very quiet months for Barr so we found ourselves the only customers on a Saturday evening. However, the restaurant really looked after us well, and we had a super evening. Xavier, front of house, is very amiable and made us feel like special guests. The food was excellent, and the interior of the restaurant is simple but cosy. This restaurant deserves success and I recommend it absolutely and without hesitation - such a better option than the only other restaurant in Barr, the 5 Terres, which may have the same quality food but at twice the price and without any understanding of what “service” means

It's a very simple yet welcoming place. The seasonal decor is unpretentious yet tasteful. The dishes are well presented and generous. The wine list is short and consistent with the dishes on offer. You'll undoubtedly have a great time.
