La Taberna del Gourmet Review

La Taberna del Gourmet restaurant opens at 8pm and is famous for its delicious food, so be sure to book in advance. I chose the dishes and wine from the restaurant's recommendations. This Chardonnay from Alicante went really well with both specialties.

The prices in this restaurant are on the high side, but the food is delicious. It is an Internet celebrity restaurant and is very popular.

What a wonderful meal! Had the taster menu and wine flight with family and was an absolute delight. Every course was made attention to detail and first class ingredients. Delicious from start to finish. The service was informal and friendly. We all felt very welcome and relaxed and will definitely be back when we return to Alicante.

The food was excellent, very high quality and the service was very quick & efficient. We had Iberian ham & goats cheese with honey to start, which was great. For main course we had fillet steak and Cannellini with truffle, which was also great. The only very slight negative was the meat in the Cannellini was ground to fine, so it had no texture, but we still had a great evening.The first restaurant we’ve been to which was busy at 7pm

We always enjoy visiting La Taberna del Gourmet - the quality of the tapas menu on this visit exceptional and the staff friendly and accommodating to requests- exceptional mussels as always and particularly delicious tomato based Tapas.. An exceptional Taberna!
