Le Bistrot des Pêcheurs Review

The food was really amazing. The oysters were great, as was the fish of the day. We loved sitting outside on the beautiful terrace and enjoying the view on the towers of La Rochelle. Service was a bit forgetful at times, though they were very friendly.

Just fabulous food ……. They have an English menu….they are a brilliantly run restaurant which had them cueing for tables and a booking for a table is a must! A lot to chose from in La Rochelle, but very glad we chose here! Would highly recommend.

Friendly staff, especially Fanny, great setting and lovely food... Husband had swordfish tartare and moules, both lovely, whilst I especially appreciated having the fish of the day (dourade) filleted for me and it was absolutely delicious. Puddings of brioche pain perdu with ice cream and panna cotta with strawberries were both great.

Food was amazing and fresh. The staff were incredibly friendly, polite and paid attention to everyone. You must try the brioche caramelisee! Greatest dessert we have ever had.

Excellent service and a varied menu. As the title suggests this is a fish restaurant and a very good one too. Really enjoyed our meal and atmosphere. Robin
