My husband and I ordered the tasting menu and the season's menu respectively. The main dishes were duck breast and fish. All the dishes were very beautifully made. We were very satisfied with the appetizers and main dishes. Compared with the innovative French food we had before, this one felt more traditional and authentic. We went to eat at the Michelin two-star restaurant LE TAILLEVENT, located near the Arc de Triomphe. I had read guides and admired Michelin before. After eating here, I finally understood why many chefs don't care about Michelin stars. Because Michelin's evaluation is a comprehensive score rather than a score of the chef's skills. The service of this Michelin restaurant is really good. The environment is extremely elegant and very quiet, but the taste can only be said to be above average. And I always feel that the prices of foreign restaurants are not transparent. When we ordered, we ordered a set meal of 170 euros, but various snacks and drinks made the final bill 240 euros, equivalent to 1,500 yuan, which is expensive. The dining experience can be summed up in two words: restrained. We were all dressed in formal clothes and were stuck on the sofa by the table. We ate all kinds of food like robots. It was totally different from the pleasure of queuing for half an hour in Hong Kong and eating a bowl of delicious noodles in front of many people. I feel like I will never go there again. You can eat butter + baguette while waiting for the food, the quantity is unlimited. The weird appetizer is the soup made of peas. The lamb chops are not bad. The dessert seems to be lemony and sour. The taste is just so-so. The dessert is OK.
