LHASA NAMASTE RESTAURANT Review

It was my first time eating Nepalese food, and I could accept it and it tasted good. I ordered the beef curry set and the mutton curry set from the Nepalese set. Each set included curry beef (mutton) and cucumber slices, carrot slices, jicama slices, some green vegetables and a small bowl of mung bean soup, with a large piece of naan. I tore a piece of naan by hand and dipped it in the curry beef sauce, then ate the meat and vegetables and drank the soup. It tasted good, the beef (mutton) was fresh. The environment in the restaurant was Nepalese style.

This Nepalese restaurant is located on the second floor near Barkhor Street and is quite popular. I ordered the most classic Masala chicken with Nan, potato beef buns, fried lamb chops and Nepalese sweet tea. Except for the fried lamb chops, which tasted too stinky, the other dishes tasted good. Especially the Nan (naan), which is hollow in the middle and tasted very fragrant. The potato beef buns are actually fried potato balls, which are a little greasy. In general, Nepalese food is full of fried high-calorie foods, and I felt a little bloated while eating.

The first time I went to his house in 2018, the house was closed for renovation. This time I went upstairs, but the waiter said that there was a power outage and they couldn't cook. I finally ate there on the third time. It was so hard for me... Speaking of dishes, the masala chicken with nan seemed like Indian food. I call that nan Indian flatbread, which was super delicious! The fried lamb chops had too many broken bones and were a bit greasy. The potato beef buns were very cost-effective and not recommended!

Dinner was settled in Namasud near Jokhang Temple Square. This store ranks first in the food category on the Lhasa Dianping Online. It is exotic and mainly operates Nepalese and Tibetan meals. The boss is Nepalese and the waiter is Tibetan. There are many people at the meal, and the fire is so hot that you don't expect the service to be so good, try to help yourself. Namasud is on the second floor of the crossroads. If you don't look carefully, you may pass by, but this can't hide its charm. Sometimes even after the meal, you still need to wait. There are Nepalese and Indian dishes, the signature dish Masala chicken with stew is a must, Masala is similar to the tomato and curry mixed, not spicy and slightly sour; stew is a scone, salty and crispy, and the masala is very exotic. The fried lamb chops are quite generous, but a little oily. And don’t forget to order a pot of sweet tea during dinner.

It is my first meal in Lhasa and the best meal. Especially the cockroach, just done, the cockroach is soft, the taste is particularly good, personal taste prefers to only eat cockroaches, no sauce, but you can try it, some friends like it very much. Sweet tea is a big pot (this is the case in Tibet), and it is not cost-effective to order a pot of sweet tea butter tea. The decoration is very emotional ～

The business is really good, there is no room for seats, and you have to wait for the rhythm of the seat when you come late. Masala chicken with wontons is really delicious, wontons are particularly resilient, and I ordered three in one meal. The yogurt cake is generally like, a bit light, and the taste is similar to yogurt frozen, not thick enough. Sweet tea is delicious, milk tea tastes the same, I feel I can drink a hot water bottle amount.

Highly recommend this, very delicious! Mainly Tibetan food, Nepalese, and Indian food, are very delicious, because I eat alone, so I ordered the classic Marsala chicken, the taste is super! The baked is just right to the fire, eating alone is just right, a little spicy. I wanted to eat again the next day, but it was a pity that it was closed because of the Tibetan calendar. Service attitude is also OK, I am afraid of the kind of ** when I go out, although the overall price in Lhasa is not cheap, but it is fine here.

Add lamb, beef, cakes and salads... the waiter immediately reminded: "Enough, can't finish eating!" about 30 minutes to touch the food before getting ready, waiting time is long enough! I tasted the food and felt that it was not as delicious as the legend, and it may be a big difference from our Chinese food habits and tastes! But the price is still right, four people nearly 300 yuan.
