This time I came to Phuket and stayed at JW Marriott, which is right next to Mai Khao Beach. Compared with Patong and other beaches, there are few tourists here and it is very quiet. There are several seafood restaurants on the beach where you can eat authentic Thai food. The crayfish here are very fresh and delicious. You can also watch the sunset while eating dinner. The scenery is great. At sunset in the evening, there are people leading elephants on the beach. You can buy some food to feed the elephants and take some photos.

Lovely very sandy beach. It’s safe and gets amazing sunsets. I stayed at the Renaissance which was connected to this beach.

First of all, I have stayed in Phuket for nearly three years. I recommend the hotel near Mikao. Because it is near the airport, it has not been developed very much. It's very primitive. Many hotels nearby are super good. It's cost-effective to stay in off-season accommodation. Friends who don't want to live in downtown areas, Mikao is absolutely a good choice.

Compared with Karen Beach, it feels different. The beach is thicker and the sea waves are not suitable for swimming, but the surrounding hotels are very good! Marriott and Anatara are very good! Suitable for soaking in hotels! It's not convenient to go elsewhere.

Mai Khao Beach is the most remote and longest beach in Phuket, stretching for dozens of kilometers. It is also a good place to watch the sunset, which is clearer and more beautiful than taking a taxi to the famous cliff restaurant. This place was previously famous for turtles laying eggs. From December to February every year, many turtles would crawl onto the beach at night to lay eggs. But in recent years, with the construction of hotels and resorts on the beach and human commercial activities, it has become difficult to find traces of turtles.

Was lucky to be able to move around Phuket on a rented motorbike and stumbled upon this beach. Its a long stretch near the airport. No mass tourists, clean soft sand, clear waters and plenty of shaded areas if you want some respite from the blazing sun in April. There’s just a handful of huts selling drinks & snacks near the airport fences. This beach is about 30-40 minutes on the bike via a mix of major roads and inner village roads from our hotel in Patong.
