The atmosphere is beautiful and cozy. The staff goes above and beyond what most restaurants in Europe would accept. The food is amazing. Whatever you order will be a pleasure. Dishes like scallops, shrimp, duck, venison, etc. turn your taste buds into heaven. What a creative and talented kitchen.

[Environment] The environment is relatively simple, I like the decoration inside, it belongs to the European decoration, it looks very comfortable. [Taste] The dishes are well done, each dish is more exquisite, and the beef is very tender.

What a great hospitality. The menu is so tight still has enough options to make the selection tough. I have warm and coveted asparagus soup. My wife a mussel Graton prepared differently, which is certainly better than she used to. I have half the authentic beef schnetizel stew I bought home. Great, but so generous. My wife has a farm chicken that can never be taken off the menu. The chef is afraid of being famous, just because of his chicken. Don't be afraid of Chef Robert you are famous for everything you put on your menu. Our shared blackcurrant-flavored cakes resemble deserts and have a magical time. By the way, Sunday wine is half price.

Time and again, when we return to Matthew's, it meets our expectations - in culinary preparation, presentation and sublime, subtle, nuanced, extraordinary dishes. The service is impeccable. The servers are truly expert, discreet and in tune with the rhythm of the guests/restaurant and cuisine. At Marcel's "we trust - for business entertaining and celebratory meals". Conducive to conversation, the tables are usually widely spaced and the hearing level is excellent - no worries! Particularly memorable were the perfectly seared scallops on bacon diced/mashed potatoes with mustard mayonnaise, finished with Estradilum caviar. The fish and duck entrees were praised almost as highly by our companions. A minor disappointment that we were missing from the dessert roster that evening was a chocolate dulce de leche (dark, please! no white chocolate for dessert) or a seasonal fruit tart. (But we made it anyway!) From a previous visit, some diners may find that if you sit against the wall opposite the restaurant, the draft from the high vents is cold and uncomfortable. We appreciated the complimentary salmon mousse starter while we waited for our appetizers and the lovely little sweets dessert - macro and a lovely start and finish to a very good evening.

We went to Marcel's on Christmas Eve for the tasting menu. First of all, it was great that the restaurant was open at the time. The tasting menu has several options: we had the 6-course meal, which was more than enough. Our server was Jonathan, professional, pleasant and personal. The atmosphere was very pleasant, relaxed and delicate, just like the meals in this restaurant. We had fish/seafood including sole, cod, scallops, mussel gratin, lobster bisque and more. As others have commented, the dishes were a little light on the vegetables and fruits, but they left nothing to be desired in terms of quality, preparation and presentation. The flavors were always delicate, neither too salty nor too greasy, with some surprising ingredients and preparation. The price-quality ratio was also surprisingly good. We would (and will) go there again in a heartbeat!

The cocktails were well mixed, the food was beautifully presented, and Jonathan did his magic for the evening. While we had demonstrations every five courses, highlights included the puff pastry, scallops with lobster bisque, and white sausage - the best we had. Also enjoyed the live music floating from the bar, loud enough to be heard without hindering conversation. Best meal we had all year.
