Pilu at Freshwater Review

A fine dining restaurant in Freshwater : Pilu at Freshwater, the restaurant location and scenery are invincible, but the food is too foreign and expensive! Suitable for lovers to date, or to go wide, I don't recommend it in general! If you don't have a full lunch, you have to be 200 ​

The restaurant is located in a small town on the outskirts of Sydney. It is right by the sea and the scenery is very beautiful.

The venue was located right at the coast of freshwater beach and was the perfect setting for a seafood dominated menu which the local produce beautiful. The standout of the night was the suckling pig which had a strong umami flavour balanced out well by the fennel and buffalo fetta.

Pilu at Freshwater sparkled as always and Chef Giovanni's Sardininan fare is sublime as per usual. The only thing I wish he would change on his tasting menu is perhaps the last course which is the Sardinian fried pastry, Seadas . While it is good, it would be nice to have something different as it has been on the tasting menu for all the years I have been visiting the restaurant.

Pilu is one of those restaurants in Sydney that is a MUST GO TO ! The food is superb, the location is superb, the service is exemplary...we go as often as we can afford (it is expensive but WORTH IT !) Every dish, Sardinian of course, is explained and presented with flair and expertise... JUST GO !!!
