Pourquoi Pas Review

I booked this restaurant for my husband’s birthday as a treat for the stunning location and because of the Michelin star. We opted for the 4 course Gastronomic Tasting menu . The service was excellent and the location is beautiful. We were a bit disappointed not be able to order from a menu but I loved the surprise element - we literally didn’t know what we were going to be served - and the wine pairings. The food and wine choices were exceptional especially the fish course and the gorgeous dessert of mulberry mousse. Delicious.

Disappointing. “We can’t tell you what you will get for food selections before you order. It is chef’s surprise”Say what ?! Not acceptable at all. No a La cart options. 7 people already seated….too late to find another restaurant.Sardines course was fishy and eaten by no one. Fellow diners dressed in t shirts….not a great experience at all…marginal wine selection. This restaurant needs a minus …no star here
