Prawn Star Cairns Review

A seafood restaurant with high reviews. When I arrived, I found that it was on a boat at Cairns wharf. There were only a few simple seafood dishes and platters. The cooking methods were either raw or boiled. It was very primitive. I ordered a small platter for $60. The salmon was very fresh and the thick cubes were good. The shrimps were really big and chewy. It was the first time I had Thousand Island sauce. Some were not very fresh. I still don’t know what the sea bug tasted like. The shrimps looked a bit ugly. The oysters were fresher than the ones I had in Melbourne before, but they were still a bit fishy when eaten raw. I was not used to it. Since we were on the boat, the sea breeze blew over and swayed for a long time. I felt a little dizzy while eating. In addition, we had to keep waving flies in the open air to eat fresh food.

The staff are really friendly, especially to my children who are always very friendly and accommodating. Love the relaxed atmosphere, delicious food and fresh seafood. There are a lot of people, so you may have to queue up if you want to eat. Order a delicious oyster, prawn, salmon sashimi and other dishes, plus a few bottles of beer, it's perfect. The location is also interesting, because this small seafood restaurant is composed of two small boats on the Cairns Pier, so you can see the neighbors also spread out their food to share.
