Red Lion Oxford Review

This is a Western restaurant in Oxford, small in scale, but the environment is good. The Western food here is more authentic, the service is very warm, the price is reasonable, basically do not have to wait for a seat, to visit Oxford University to choose to eat here.

Be sure to have a few drinks here, with special fruit drinks and wines first class.

What a lovely Sunday roast! There were a lot of choices and the beef was cooked perfectly. It was a great portion size as well. Our server,Sarah, was lovely and attentive. I would definitely go back.

Our waitress was very helpful when we were choosing which wine to have.She took our food order when she delivered wine and water to our table.Food arrived very quickly, starters were delicious,the mushrooms could have done with a little more flavour,trout and crab rillett was very tasty.Traditional Christmas turkey dinner arrived at the table hot and plentiful. We wernt able to have dessert as we were full up!

Went for a Sunday roast with family from out of town, however we found out once we got there that they were out of roasts. This was very disappointing. The food we did get was quite good however. As well, the facilities worked well for us with a toddler. They have a high chair and change table available making the booking much less stressful
