Fisherman's Wharf Seafood Restaurant is quite famous in Kota Kinabalu. Although it is not as famous as Daqielai among Chinese tourists, it is also one of the local restaurants that specializes in seafood, has a good reputation and has a large number of customers.

The taste is great! It is very close to the hotel. We live in Hyatt, less than 5 minutes walk, just under the gate of Gaya Street. We ordered tiger prawns, mantis prawns (very similar to oversized mantis prawns), crab meat, baby squid, and a bunch of vegetables. The boss looked at me and my 10-year-old daughter, and kept reminding us to eat enough, and recommended that we replace the fish ball noodles with white rice. The whole process was communicated in Chinese without pressure. The vegetables are also delicious, even the little girl who doesn't like vegetables eats very actively. Of course, it is not very cheap, but it is not expensive either. It is much more affordable than Sanya. We spent 240 Malaysian ringgits. There were many people at the next table, and there were also various hard dishes. They also ordered Daqinglong, and the average per person was less than 100. There are many seafood restaurants in Kota Kinabalu, and Daqielai and others are very famous. We chose to have our last dinner at the "Fisherman's Wharf" at the entrance of Gaya Street. This is a seafood restaurant opened by Hong Kong or Cantonese people. Some waiters can speak Chinese, introduce seafood, and even pay in RMB. The restaurant environment is good, and the seafood is naturally cheaper than that in Shanghai. It may be a little expensive locally, but the 9 of us still enjoyed the meal.
