The Cow And Calf Review

We had a family gathering, reflecting on the loss of a family member. The ambience and quality of environment at the Cow and Calf were excellent and we were seated at a lovely table. Each of us enjoyed our meals which were well-presented and delicious. The service was generally great. Coffees and drinks, however, were served so violently that they banged down loudly on the table and the coffees all slopped into their saucers. So extreme that it was comic, I actually laughed out loud, but this didn’t spoil our experience.

staff were very attentive and welcoming food was lovely. Have been coming here for years and have never had a bad visit yet well worth a visit if you are in the area

It was a 90th birthday and they were excellent and attentive. We had 1 table of 4 and one of 6 because of covid regulations. It was a lovely surprise for grandad. Thank you

The food was excellent and we had a table in a cosy corner as requested. We had lunch and a few drinks but felt rushed as the waitress said she would bring the bill as soon as we had finished eating.
