The Oceanaire Seafood Room Review

Since we are here to eat seafood, we might as well eat enough at once. The oysters and lobsters are both good. It happened that lobsters were available today. Usually, you have to make a reservation. I was lucky. The meat was quite plump and original.

If you want seafood, this is a good restaurant, the seafood is fresh and the menu is extensive. I had five different oysters to start, followed by the grilled salmon. I didn't have any desserts because they don't have any gluten free desserts, and their ûLé cream br I will return to this restaurant because of the excellent quality of the seafood.

Stopped at the restaurant due to heavy traffic and took a chance. Food and wait staff were excellent. From the first hour we were taken the time to explain the menu and service. The sea bass was wonderful. The peach cobbler was to die for. We ordered a bottle of wine with dinner. I could not drink because I was the driver and I knew the other party would not use it all. Waiter re-corked the bottle tightly, placed in a clear plastic wine bag and sealed the top of the bag just in case it leaked. [It did not]. Then placed in a paper bag. Recommended.

I went with a large group and had some appetizers. Crab cakes, scallops and tuna. Everything was good but the tuna with wasabi and seaweed salad was outstanding! I had a very good scallop entree steak not so good and we both ordered sole. Both went to the table one was viciously attacked and the other delicately boned but my friend said it all tasted the same no matter what it looked like. Waiting staff was poor - waited forever to get our wine to the table. Staff very pretentious and acted like they were doing you a favor.

I've been to Oceanaire a few times and always had a good experience. Tonight was different. We waited 30 minutes to get our drink orders. When they came, one of them was wrong. When we finally got our entrees it was an hour into the service. Our server would not come back to see us and we hailed the waiter to bring us extra lemons. We asked for the manager and apparently our server had not come back so we could get our check. Luckily the manager knew what was wrong and our meal package we appreciated and he apologized. But it was still a disappointing evening. The food was just okay and not what I remembered from past experiences.
