Very comfortable surroundings, staff pleasant and happy to help. Nothing was a bother for them despite being busy.Food was well presented and lovely. Very reasonable prices despite being in Edinburgh

Our first visit to the Salisbury, and we’re not disappointed. While the exterior is perhaps a tad dour, internally the building is very nicely appointed and comfortable. Service was friendly and the right pace for a relaxing meal. The food itself was first class, with one of our group saying the cod and chips being one of the best he had ever had! We walked from the centre of Edinburgh which took us around 40 minutes each way. A great way to build up an appetite and to walk off the ample portions!

This restaurant is that good we visit it each time we hit Edinburgh. The food and service is really good. The pub also has a good atmosphere that also has a car park to us

I have come to the Salisbury Arms many times over the years and never had any complaints. The food was excellent but the service was so so slow. Once seated and served drinks no-one came near us We had to ask if we could place an order for food. When the food came it was lovely and to your usual high standard, but again no-one came near. We finally ordered desert. My friend had to physically get up and find someone so that we could settle our bill. Twice! may I add. When the young lady came she apologised but said she had a hundred things to do .............
