Thipsamai Review

This is a good simple meal I've had in Bangkok, Thailand. It's basically a dish of rice with plenty of ingredients. I often invite three or five friends to come over, order one each, and share the delicious joy. The key point is that the environment and service here are also very good, it's simply a paradise for small gatherings.

The pad thai here is fried in shrimp oil which dyes the noodles red. Don't worry though, it's not spicy and tastes great. The pad thai is ok but nothing special, just average. Service was good but they were out of the king prawns (recommended on the menu) so I had to settle for the regular king prawns.

There are a lot of people recommended by this store, and the ones recommended by everyone after reading the guide are different. We have 4 people, and we have eaten all the way, and there is no way to order more. When you arrive at this place, you will feel very lively. The locals are also more tourists and more like us when we can't help but get a table of tourists for help, and then get it done, but I can only say that it is not my dish, I am not used to eating.

I came to write a good review! This is a century-old Thai rice noodle shop recommended by locals when we are in Bangkok. Be sure to try it! This restaurant is very similar to Yilan ramen, and they are all focused on making a food Thai rice noodle. There are a variety of Thai rice noodles, the taste is very authentic, they will provide raw bean sprouts and green onions, lemon, peanuts, torn into pieces of their own hands and sprinkled in the rice noodles, and then stirred to eat, really delicious! It was delicious until my husband and I started to order a recommended signature rice noodles. Later, it was too delicious and finally ordered another... Because I am not used to eating anything sugary in Thailand, I also specially explained that I should add less sugar. Finally, I ate very satisfied! Orange juice is also a must to drink, all are freshly squeezed in the restaurant on the day, there are thick fruit grains ～ chili is also very authentic, a small mouth is spicy to not serve is also very good, although there are many people in the queue (maybe the reason for the publicity, there is no Chinese when we go), But the reception manager was very thoughtful. After waiting for ten minutes to enter the seat, everyone would bend over 90 degrees and greet you with their hands. I also unconsciously followed the bend to respond hahaha... The price is not expensive, we two ate to support it and spent 150rmb less, very recommended!

We came to this restaurant after reading all the praise reviews on the Internet, and the result was really great! The business in the store is very good, so the waiting time for the dishes is longer than other roadside stalls, but it is worth waiting! We ordered fresh shrimp fried rice noodles, added eggs, the shrimp is very pink and tender, the noodles taste great! It’s very reasonable to spend 90 baht on shrimp in this location (some shrimp in other stores are around 70). Not many tourists know this place even if it’s super popular with locals. She said the Thai fried noodles in this restaurant are the best in Bangkok, so my expectations are very high. But after eating, I feel so-so, not so good in fact. Not very bad, but not as good as everyone said there is a "wow" level. We needed to queue up before entering the restaurant but I really didn’t think the wait was worth it. However, the orange juice sold here is great. I prefer orange juice compared to Thai fried noodles.

Once in the taxi, the driver told me thipsamai thipsamai, I think he is saying what he is saying, he pointed to the place where the long queue is pointed, and his thumbs up said NO.1 NO.1, I immediately felt that I would eat tomorrow, and then I started to queue up. To be honest, it was not as terrible as I thought, about half an hour, less than an hour. If there is a disabled person, you can sit at the entrance of the restaurant first. The store is not big, there are not many tables, but it tastes fast, so it is fast to enter and exit. Orange juice is my first recommendation, the big pulp is super delicious! Then there is the special egg bag Thai fried rice noodles here, the taste is a bit sweet, as a Shanghainese, I think it is a bit sweet, but it is still delicious. The rest of the taste is similar. Overall, it is worth a visit. The price is not cheap, the service is OK, the restaurant is a place to sell dry goods, you can buy some boxed rice noodles to go home.
