Yee Fung Laksa Review

There are really many delicious local snacks on Gaya Street. Yee Fung Tea Room is also one of the shops selling laksa noodle soup. The seafood-flavored soup is spicy and delicious. I also ordered a bowl of beef offal noodle soup and wontons. The soup lo mein was highly recommended by my friends and I tried it twice in a row. Once I tasted it, I will never forget it!

It seems to be the most famous internet celebrity restaurant in Gaya Street. It is really good. The laksa is especially delicious, better than what I have eaten in China. After finishing a large portion, I ordered another bowl. The beef offal noodles depends on whether you like offal. The clay pot chicken rice is a bit greasy. The milk tea is delicious and rich in flavor. The sour plum orange ice tastes very good and refreshing~

Their famous clay pot rice, chicken, anyway, the rice I've eaten in Kota Kinabalu is terrible, this rice is OK, the taste is average. The dining environment in the restaurant is relatively simple, basically you need to share a table, there is no air conditioning, only electric fans.

For the first meal, I ordered the signature laksa and double-layered milk tea, which are very reasonable (Laksa large portion RM8, small portion RM7, milk tea RM2.5). The taste made me fully appreciate the charm of snacks. The laksa soup base is rich, and you can taste the fragrance of spices, but it is not unpalatable like Thai green curry; the milk tea is also smooth and fragrant, and has an extra layer of taste than the milk tea ordered by Zhu. The bottom layer should be sweet condensed milk. Anyway, milk tea is made of black tea, soup, and condensed milk. I don’t know how the chef makes it, but I know it’s delicious. The guys’ hands are fast, their fingers are flying, scooping noodles, pouring soup, and adding ingredients, "pop" on the table, and the dishes are served very quickly. This meal made me fall in love with the charm of Malay snacks for the first time!

The weather is really too hot, and the restaurant is also hot, so eating a claypot chicken rice in such a hot weather really requires courage, hahaha. The stir-fried lettuce here in Kota Kinabalu is almost the same in every restaurant, and the taste of Yifeng is also good. When the claypot chicken rice is served, I feel a wave of heat, but the aroma is rich. The egg should be raw, but the rice is very hot, so it is mixed together and the egg is cooked. Although there are fewer chicken pieces, they are all chicken thighs, smooth and thick, and the taste is very different from the claypot rice in Guangzhou. This rice is all juice, but it is not too salty, the taste is just right. It is paired with tilapia sauce, which feels perfect. The tilapia sauce is a bit sweet and sour, and the fragrance is special, which is not appreciated by ordinary people. The sour and sweet chicken rice is first-class.

The taste is average. I ordered fish ball noodles, double-covered teh and a serving of vegetables. The total cost was RM18.5. I don't know if the Kolisas and beef offal are the specialties. But there are many things that I can't eat, so I can't taste them. It's really uncomfortable for a Chinese to eat here. Finally I saw the vegetables. I had to eat a serving of vegetables. It's not easy.
