Our stay at the Arcadia Hotel was truly idyllic and met our expectations. This resort is located on a beautiful, private island called Pandanan, opposite Timba Timba Island. Its location is wonderful.
The hotel's facilities and decor are very beautiful, luxurious and white. It has a very large infinity pool where you can enjoy the view of Timba Timba Island.
We've read some negative comments about the buffet, but for us, it was truly incredible for its variety and quality. Even more so considering the hotel is on a remote island. The kitchen staff, and especially the cook, is a talented and very pleasant gentleman.
Additionally, the stay includes a day trip to an island, snorkeling, and a boat ride to watch the sunset.
The only negative point I consider is that the island's shores are littered with bottles and other plastic products, which is truly shocking and sad. I think whether the trash comes from another island or not, they should definitely take this into account and have the staff clean up the beach.
Thank you very much!
It was my first time to stay in a water house. I thought it was perfect. It was newly built and very comfortable. It was exactly what I wanted. The service staff were very shy and friendly. I was also very satisfied with the dinner. I woke up early in the morning and watched the sunrise. It was amazing. Looking forward to Anmei. When I went out for a walk at night, I could see many starfish and fish coming out, and small fish could also be seen in the room. It rained heavily when I fell asleep very late that night. The roof was made of iron sheets, and the sound of rain amplified. Many times, when it is windy and rainy, I will be a little scared and dare not sleep. At other times, it is perfect. I will choose the water house next time I come.
The hotel is new, recently opened. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.
The hotel's strongest point is a comfortable and well-designed pool. Unfortunately, this is the end of the pluses.
Breakfast - the choice seems to be large, but everything is focused on the Chinese, so a European / American does not have much to eat. It's good that at least there is an egg station.
Front desk procedures - even though the hotel was almost empty, we were told to wait three hours for the room. A deposit of RM 200 per day is charged at check-in - cash only, no card guarantee. When checking out, you have to wait at the front desk until the housekeeping checks if you have stolen anything from the room. If you lose the document confirming the deposit - they will not return your money.
Finally, probably the most annoying thing - the card scanning system in the elevators - we sometimes spent long minutes trying to press the floor key in the elevator, usually it ended with asking for help from the reception. This is absolutely unacceptable.
There is too much to improve here to be able to say that the hotel is worth the price.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The check-in process was smooth and easy, and the hotel itself is beautiful with clean and comfortable rooms. What made the experience even more special was the thoughtful service. they helped me arrange a birthday cake in advance and even gave me a free room upgrade. I truly appreciate the warm hospitality. Highly recommended!
We had an amazing stay at Sky Water Villas! We loved everything, the room was so cozy, friendly staff, and the food was so delicious! Definitely recommend and will go back if I have the chance!

The service and place was just really awesome. Everything was so smooth and the staffs were really welcoming and helpful. Location wise, very strategic and I walked around because I felt like everything was within walking distance. While cheking in, you also get complimentary juice.

Nice hotel with a very good location. Close to Gaya street where there are many eateries and where the wkend market is located. Next to the iconic round about and the sea front.
The hotel may have been look dated, but the rooms looks to have been refurbished since last stayed here.
Rooms is spacious and bed is comfortable. No issue with cleanliness. Didn't use any of the facilities as we just stayed a night before heading out to KK park. Good value for money.
A very satisfying stay, clean and tidy, the new hotel is very good👍
The hotel is not in a residential area, very clean, and there is a shuttle bus to the town to go out to the sea

The location is quite strategic and near to Tanjung Aru beach. Near to a mall as well, few beach bars around. There are a few convenient stores nearby (7e, 99 Mart), a mamak that’s open till late. There’s also a seafood restaurant next to the hotel which you can walk past the parking lot.
Can get nice view of sea and airport. Although you don’t get to see much of the sea view but I think it’s good enough. You can grab to the beach within 5-8 mins and very accessible with grab drivers.
We had a perfect time at Eaglebay Retreat. It’s truly an undisturbed paradise. You have an entire house and hundreds of meters of coastline all to yourself. Every morning, you can wake up in the sunshine and decide whether to go snorkeling or just relax in the sun—you have the choice. The sunsets were always perfect, and experiencing them on a paddleboard is far better than being in a crowded place like KK.
At the same time, the retreat offers a wide range of activities that are both rich and reasonably priced—paddleboarding, jet skiing, kayaking, and more, so you’ll never feel bored.
During our stay, Arlyn and h is family provided us with everything we needed: they inflated our paddleboards, helped us arrange sea activities, climbed trees to pick coconuts for us, and prepared delicious meals. Whenever we needed them, they were always available, without intruding on our privacy. Their presence was always perfectly balanced.
I would also like to thank Faizal, who did a lot of work before our arrival, and Jamri, the kind lady who helped us recover our lost Apple Pencil during our stay. She assisted in finding it, came up with several ways to return it (considering Eaglebay Retreat’s remote location), and finally delivered it to my friend personally, asking for nothing in return. Your kindness will be remembered.
Yes, I think we would definitely recommend this place to our friends, and we will visit Eaglebay again in the future.
