I booked a stay at this 5 star hotel for 3 days 2 nights, I must say that the room is clean and spacious, with numerous facilities for all family members such as badminton, tennis, billard, hotspring, cycling, archery etc. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the service. 2 staff we encountered were constantly on their phone and not attentive at all. What really pissed us off was the incident that we put up Do Not Disturb at our door as we were taking our afternoon nap. Yet, the hotel staff called our room number. as we were asleep, we didn't pick up. Guess what. They actually called my mobile phone. Just to ask if they need to clean the room. We went to seek clarifications at the hotel reception which the reception staff at first deny they called, until we showed them the missed call number from the hotel. Then they said will feedback to their manager. At night, the manager Ms Wong called. to our disgust, she said that was their SOP! Which hotel, to say this is a 5 star hotel, that when guest put up Do Not Disturb sign, it's their SOP to call the room and worst to call guests' personal mobile phone. Isn't this an invasion of privacy, calling our personal line. This is the first time we experienced this. We never had this when we put up Do Not Disturb sign at numerous hotels we stayed before. The manager didn't sound apologetic at all but very defensive. Even to the extent that they are checking on pir safety. I was really perturbed by her comment above. The service attitude is good, and the service staff greets people politely. The shuttle bus driver is very enthusiastic and introduces the layout of the hotel along the way. The waterfront villa room I booked has an independent hot spring pool. A few steps outside the room is the love swimming pool, which is very photogenic. Although the hotel equipment is a bit old, it does not smell musty and is quite hygienic. There are many public hot spring pools, all open, large and small, and basically all have seats. There are many varieties of breakfast, both Chinese and Western, and the taste is good! Overall, the experience is good!

The room is as clean and tidy as always, newly decorated, and has a good living environment. This time I stayed in a duplex suite, which is cost-effective and comes with a lot of small gifts. There are many types of breakfast. I used to eat in the grand banquet hall, but this time I changed to the restaurant, so the whole family can sit down and eat without sharing a table. The front desk service is good, and there is guidance and follow-up after the processing is completed. It is much more considerate than the first time I stayed. I have been to many hot springs, but I still think Zen Spring is the cleanest and most hygienic. The overall experience is much better than the first time I went there, and it feels worth the price during the May Day holiday👍🏻

Relatively new & nicely maintained hotel. Room equipment is on par or even better than western chain hotels of the same category. Science park metro is in the walking distance, but not that many stores / restaurants nearby, especially, in the late evening time. Staff sometimes struggles with English, but tries their best to help (Google translate is your best friend). Generally - can recommend to business travellers, if location is suitable.

Our experience at the hotel was wonderful! The staff’s attention to detail made our baby shower celebration truly special, and we are so grateful for their efforts. The hotel itself was elegant and beautifully designed, creating a perfect atmosphere for our stay. During our two-night visit, we enjoyed a great selection of breakfast options and found the gym facilities to be exceptional—a real treat for fitness enthusiasts. It was a fantastic stay overall! I chose to stay at Banyan Tree Songshan Lake Dongguan during the Qingming Festival, and the experience was full! This is all thanks to the housekeeper Mia, who is simply the ”superhero” of my trip! It rained during the Qingming Festival. Before the trip, I was worried that the rain would disrupt my plan, so I contacted Mia to find out about the activities in the hotel. Unexpectedly, this was just the beginning of our communication. The night before, Mia and I chatted until 1 a.m. She patiently and carefully answered every question I had. The feeling of being valued was really great! I thought she was busy all day and would definitely reply later the next day, but I received her message early in the morning. This service efficiency is really amazing! Mia's thoughtfulness goes far beyond this. She seems to be able to see through my thoughts, and I don't need to remind her of many things. Seeing that there were vacant rooms, she took the initiative to help me upgrade the room type and arranged for China Unicom to make our living experience more comfortable. When I returned to the room at night, the warm night bed service was ready, and my fatigue disappeared instantly. What touched me the most was that this trip happened to be my son's birthday month, and Mia quietly prepared two exquisite cakes. When the cake was delivered to my son, his surprised and happy expression, I will never forget it in my life. This attentiveness made this trip full of warmth and memories. Every moment at Banyan Tree Songshan Lake was extremely comfortable and pleasant, and all this was inseparable from Mia's efforts. I sincerely thank her and strongly recommend everyone to come here to experience and feel the amazing service brought by Mia! In addition, the photographer Xiaole for the travel photography is very good!

I chose this hotel based on reviews AND free station pick up. 2 adults and 1 teenager; fit in nicely in Twin room. We are very happy with the service and the room matched the photos. Before leaving Aust, I called the hotel to ask their WeChat number, and arranged pick up. We were picked up promptly. Reception staff were friendly although not all of them can speak English. We don’t speak Chinese either. Kevin (maybe a manager?) showed us how to take public bus straight to Nan’ao island and another staff from hotel went above his way to get us small change for the bus! Thank you all so much. I will recommend highly!

Choosing a hotel in China can often be a hit-or-miss experience—but the Palace Hotel in Luohu, Shenzhen is truly a hidden gem. Located just 400 meters from the Shenzhen Railway Station, it’s a short and convenient walk—mostly through well-lit underground shopping alleys, with part of the route even passing a lively food street. The location is unbeatable. Right outside the hotel, Line 1 Metro is to your right, and Line 9 is to your left—both within 200 meters from the lobby. The hotel is also just 500 meters from Luohu Commercial City, one of Shenzhen’s largest malls, with hundreds of shops offering everything from electronics and knockoffs to dried food, fashion, massage parlours, and eateries. But a convenient location is only part of what makes a great stay—comfort matters, and this hotel delivers. Newly built in 2023, it’s modern, spotlessly clean, and well-equipped with everything a tourist might need. The rooms are big and spacious. Free self-service laundry and dryers mean you can pack light. There’s also a gym, and within 500 meters, you’ll find an abundance of food options. Service is another standout. The staff are attentive and responsive. Towels are replaced promptly when needed, and even small gestures—like an extra bottle of mineral water—don’t go unnoticed. Security is excellent, and I felt very comfortable throughout my stay. I must give special mention to Miss Long (龙小姐) at the reception. Her attention to detail and dedication to service were truly impressive. What really stood out was when she personally carried three new 24” suitcases (which I had ordered from Xiaomi and delivered to the front desk) all the way to my room—an act that perfectly embodies “going the extra mile.” As a retired senior manager, I strongly urge the hotel’s leadership to recognize her potential. If you’re heading to Shenzhen and want a hotel with superb service and an unbeatable location, I highly recommend the Palace Hotel. It’s located just to the left of the Shangri-La Hotel—but with better value and warmth. We booked four rooms for our stay from April 23 to April 26. I stayed in Room 5419.

I had a wonderful stay at Xipa last weekend. I chose to stay at Xipa because it’s close to the venue of the Mariah Carey concert which I went to, and there are quite a number of eateries and a few convenience stores in the vicinity. The overall accommodation experience was very pleasant. Special thanks to the lady at the front desk (Staff #06). She was excellent, very helpful and responsive in answering my questions about the room. The duplex design of room is truly a delight, with the bedroom located on the upper floor. Overall, it’s very good value for money and I have no reservations in giving a five-star score to my stay.

Surrounding: Hotel lift lobby is shared with mall with plenty of food choices of cafes, Miniso, Luckin coffee, McDonald's and supermarket. Mall also link directly to the metro station. Location is about 15mins from Guangzhou Dong railway station and 50mins from Baoyun airport. Room and staff: Rooms are all high floors from 25 and above. Comfortable for us. Staffs were all very polite and friendly to greet us everytime. Reception took the extra mile to help us call the courier and check the cctv when one of our parcels was shown delivered status when it couldn't be found at the counter.
