Hotel location is ideal, just 5 mins walk on the connecting bridge over from train station. It seemed not crowded when we checked in, and realised it’s next to their convention center so reckon the hotel is catered for business travelers.
But it’s very convenient and it’s linked to a mall next door, readily with eateries and supermarket, shops.
Hotel breakfast is so-so, variety is not that much and taste is average.
The lobby and rooms were very clean and comfortable.
The staff were also very polite and I was able to go to work in a good mood.
The breakfast menu was different for each day, so I didn't get bored of it.
I liked that I could choose the soy sauce for my egg on rice.
I'd like to use your services again when I come to Sano.
The hotel has a beautiful environment and pleasant scenery by the lake. It is warm like spring at the foot of the mountain, but the mountain is already covered with snow, so you can only soak in the hot springs more often. The restaurant environment of Jingu Hotel is their specialty, and Western food is also a major feature.
Hotel location is good! Opposite is Shenqiao, about 10 minutes away from Toshogu Shrine and Erhuangshan Shrine.
The hotel staff was polite, the rooms were not as old as expected, and they were neat. There is a tea room on each floor, with green tea, barley tea and hot water supply.
Although the bath is not hot spring water, fatigue can be eliminated after bathing.
Breakfast is simple and delicious.
The only drawback is that you cannot store your luggage after check out.
Attach a landscape photo outside the room.
I was generally satisfied and would like to use it again, but there were a few things that bothered me.
◆About the hot springs
It was great that the men's and women's baths were alternated and different types of hot springs could be enjoyed depending on the time of day.
Points of concern: The hot springs and open-air baths are quite open, and it seems like you can see them from outside. You can see the bridge from the bath, but you can see the faces of people walking by, so I felt that the baths could be seen from the bridge side.
◆About cleanliness
Basically, it is well cleaned and there is no problem spending time there.
However, I was concerned about the fact that there were a lot of dead insects in the container that covers the light bulb of the room (the dead insects had accumulated on the ceiling light, and black dots were visible).
◆Access was very good and I was satisfied. All major tourist spots and stations are within walking distance.
Really great stay in the hotel, very clean and staff were extremely friendly and helpful!! Japanese style room was so cozy and the view was fantastic!!! Really great view of the surrounding mountains and lake. -1 star for the location due to the difficulty to find it at night. There were no streetlights in the area so we didn't know there were footpaths and had to do the dangerous route via the vehicle road in pitch darkness. Dinner wasn't fantastic but is included in the stay. Breakfast was decent though :)
The impressions are the most rosy. About the pros:
1. The hotel looks well-kept and new. The room is large, with a balcony, toilet with shower, there is a mini-bar, tea accessories, pajamas, yukatas, everything is in place. Small gifts. Everything was very nice. There is a coffee machine in the lobby area, you can take books to read, there is a souvenir shop.
2. Warm attitude during the serving of food, especially during dinner. The taste of the food and the quality for me were excellent. As a foreigner unfamiliar with the traditions of the cuisine, we are grateful for the opportunity to touch the culinary microclimate of the region. Although I understand that my opinion cannot be considered expert.
3. A good area with onsen. There is an indoor pool and rotenburo, there is no need to bring towels from the room. There is a small common lounge area with drinks and ice cream.
Minor minuses: 1. If you go to the hotel by taxi, it takes you to a gravel path, and then you calmly get there by walking a little to the official entrance of the hotel. But if you walk, and it's about 20 minutes from the station, then knowing that you went through a more convenient service entrance, the detour to the main entrance will seem strange, although in the end it has its own charm.
2. The service at the entrance to the hotel seems a little blurry. Especially after the service in the same restaurant. But we arrived late in the evening, so it is likely that everyone was just tired by the time we arrived.
3. The hotel held a lecture on our evening, but it was in Japanese. Although I do not see a mechanism by which it could be made more accessible. Hiring a translator who would translate into English for a couple of foreigners is strange. Conducting it in English when most of the guests were Japanese is wrong.
The hotel is not cheap, but I think it is worth the money. I highly recommend it.
All hotel staff are friendly and can provide appropriate services. There are different entertainment facilities in the store, such as mahjong, billiards, etc., making the journey colorful. The hotel is also close to Kinugawa Onsen Station and has convenient transportation.
Cool and high-class ryokan hotel. Optimal location for exploring Nikko and surrounding attractions, excellent service, clean and cool onsen with a variety of creams, which can be bought right there in the souvenir shop. Great and varied dinner and breakfast, inexpensive drinks. We stayed for 2 days and 4 meals were different on the menu.
It was nice to receive gift coupons for souvenirs and alcohol at the hotel.
View of the mountain river right from the room. Girls can choose a yukata of the color they like for their stay in the ryokan. It's cool that for the entire stay in the ryokan you are assigned one maid who feeds you and sees you off and helps deliver your luggage - you feel like you are visiting friends. The staff is great - very attentive, but not intrusive.
The downsides are the slightly tired room, but not lacking traditional chic, old curtains, cold light in the room (personally not very pleasant for me, I would advise the hotel to think about replacing the lamps with 3000 Kelvin).
I highly recommend the ryokan, the guys are trying.
The hotel is a bit old, but it can be seen that it was very grand when it was originally designed.
I think the location of the hotel is very good, the rooms on both sides can see the valley view is very good.
It is acceptable not to make too many demands on meals, but you need to be cautious if you have demands. The breakfast has Japanese and Western styles, and there is a solid part, which is highly recommended. Listening to the sound of water and birdsong, it is very pleasant.
The public bathing pools are average. It’s a pity that the private baths are fully booked on weekends, but the public open-air pools are also okay. Fireworks are set off at night, and the open-air hot springs can be enjoyed. It feels good.
There is a bus to pick up and drop off the hotel at the entrance of the hot spring town, 200 yen is half price for adults and children (prepare coins). The station is on the right hand side when you come out of the station. Show the driver the name of the hotel and you will be told which car (two cars in two directions) for the return trip Let the front desk help you call the bus driver to make a reservation, the earliest is 9.20

KKongkongwukongkongAn old hot spring hotel! Breakfast and dinner are really cost-effective! The food is delicious, from fish to small pots! Appetizer strawberry wine, hot tea and dessert after dinner! The hot spring is also quite good. We are the family of four adults with children. It is a very satisfying stay experience! I have lived in a lot of expensive places before, but it feels similar. Cost-effective leverage, praise!

AAnnemaThe hotel is very comfortable, the waiter's attitude is very good, the room is very good, but the Japanese restaurant experience is too bad, the waiter is seriously unfriendly to Chinese people, we 6 people spent 8,000 RMB dinner 🍾️ the product is not sorry for the charge, the service attitude is not friendly, Chinese people are friends all over the world, can you be more friendly
WWangVery good, very old-fashioned hostel, hot springs and two meals are great. A little distance from the train station, when I went, I called the service staff to pick it up, but when I returned to the train station, I called a taxi because there was a person on duty in the lobby, not far away, but a bit expensive. It is recommended to ask the hotel in advance or make an appointment for the transfer.
YYAWENStaying in the hill is because it is convenient to go to Shengtian to enjoy the pink butterfly flowers, to the foot to see the wisteria, it is in the middle of the transfer seat, and there are many cars to and from. The hill is a small place, the hotel is an old hotel, it can be seen that the decorations inside are old, but the environment is clean, although the free continental breakfast is not rich, but for me, the nutrition is balanced, but also full. The location is diagonally opposite the station, 3 minutes walk, the traffic is very convenient.
