I recently stayed at **Escala Tagaytay**, and it was a **wonderful experience overall**. The hotel’s location is one of its best features, offering **breathtaking views of Taal Lake** and a serene atmosphere that’s perfect for relaxation. The rooms were **spacious, clean, and well-designed**, providing a cozy and comfortable stay. The **infinity pool overlooking the lake** was a definite highlight, making for a scenic and peaceful escape. The hotel grounds were also well-maintained, adding to the overall charm of the place. Service was generally **good**, with the staff being polite and accommodating. However, during peak times, there were slight delays in requests, but nothing too inconvenient. The **breakfast selection was decent**, though it could use a bit more variety. Overall, **Escala Tagaytay is a great choice** for those looking to unwind and enjoy a beautiful, relaxing getaway. I would definitely recommend it for anyone visiting Tagaytay, especially for couples or families looking for a peaceful retreat.

The hotel room is spacious and clean. Friendly staff. Nice facilities all good. They have a heater in the shower room that's what I love. The place is accessible to the mall and busses going to Manila if you are a solo traveller. The room is very comfy so I have a very nice and pleasant stay in this hotel.

7/10. Would have been an 8 but major letdown was the hard bed at banaba deluxe rooms PROS - serene and peaceful place with lots of nature - lots of pools and free activities - service is topnotch, they make u feel like a VIP - very large room (banaba deluxe) - not so far away from metro manila (2-3hrs only) CONS - food is expensive and no beef/pork. Dont stay here if ur looking for a gastronomic treat. Yes the place is abt wellness, but i think u can still achieve that with a wide variety of food choices with all meats to cater for diff people - bed was HARD. Not even firm, HARD. After a day of activities u want a relaxing bed to sleep but sadly bed was hard at banaba deluxe rooms - massage is so expensive, like 8k pesos and above - they get a 10k deposit upon checkin, charge ur card right away but when u ask for refund slip upon checkout they say they dont have, wait for email. Its so easy to reverse and refund on the terminal.

Overall, it was a great experience. The amenities were amazing — lots of activities to enjoy, whether you're into relaxing or staying active. You definitely won’t run out of things to do! The food was delicious, and the staff were all so kind and accommodating. They even granted our request for a room with a stunning view of Taal Volcano — waking up to that scenery was truly unforgettable. Cleanliness was good, I’d give it a 4 out of 5. There’s a little room for improvement, but it didn’t take away from the overall enjoyment. If you're looking for a peaceful escape with great food, fun activities, and breathtaking views, I highly recommend Canyon Woods!

The room is clean. Beddings are nice and comfy. I did not like the washroom near the pool and there is no shower room. But all in all, the hotel has a friendly ambience and the restaurants are nice too.

Service and quality of experience was outstanding for a boutique resort in the Philippines. Food was very good, but I felt the menu could use a few more options. For example, it's fine to offer an extravagant ultra-indulgent double sized burger (which tasted good by the way), but sometimes guests with smaller appetites might like a burger, too.

GGuest UserThe room is very clean and it's really like a hotel it has a comforter like the ones you see at hotels we availed the deluxe room so its not that spacious specially the comfort room only one person can fit in. You can bring your own drinks or foods too inside the resort you don't need to pay a corkage fee. They have court for basketball and volleyball the price is cheaper when you rent it in daytime. We also tried their full body massage for 1 hr that cost us 750 pesos each. You will need to go to their resto to claim your free breakfast if you avail the room that comes with a breakfast, it will not be delivered to your room but you can choose whichever breakfast meal they have in their menu plus it comes with a soup which is great and their foods taste delicious also the price of their food is reasonable but they have a 10% service charge for dine in and 15% for room service. The resto's cutoff for room service is 5pm, 7pm for dine in. The resort's downside is their operations time the front desk and restaurant is only open from 7am-8pm so if you're going to need something from the front desk after that time no one can assist you because they'll be gone by then only the guard will be left in the front door and also if you got hungry at night you might need to buy food from their resto before they closes or buy from a nearby convenient store because there's also no foodpanda or grabfood nearby stores also closes early so you have to plan your dinner ahead of time. We went to SM (closes at 9pm) the fare going there using tricycle is 120pesos.Their pool is only open till 9pm only if you want to eat or drink near the pool you can use their cabanas. Another downside is the beach, the beach area closes at 8pm. Their sand is gray (but a fine sand) you can't really swim in it because the waves are strong and the water is not clear and it's kinda dirty there's a lot of trash beside the beach it's not well maintained. You will really need to go island hopping which is already not part of the resort's activity so they'll let you sign a waiver. There's a lot of bangkero beside the beach it's best to ride by group there's only 2 of us when we rode the boat so it's a bit expensive, island hopping will cost you around 2000 (1 island) to 3.5k (2 islands) we availed the 3.5k. We went coral diving (they lent us their goggles for free or bring your own goggles) and also went at the white sand beach which is in Bauan, Batangas which also has clear water and you can also spot some fish and corals, travel time going to those 2 places is 35-45mins you can also bring your food but keep in mind to really cover it in plastic so it won't get wet because the trip going there is really rocky you will really get wet because you will pass by a strong waves so cover all your belongings. It was raining when we went there so maybe that's why the waves are strong. Overall we had a blast! We indeed had a memorable stay. They even gave us a gift when we checked out they're so thoughtful. Thank you for the wonderful experience we will surely recommend you to our friends.

GGuest UserThis is an overrated hotel. It is too old and under maintained. The breakfast is not so nice and they do not replenish the breakfast at the extension area after 9am considering that the breakfast is up until 10:30 am and they have placed a lot of guest in the extension area due to full capacity of the restaurant where the buffet should be. The only good thing about this hotel is the location and the size of the room. The hotel was right beside Sky ranch and has a lot of places to eat nearby. The room, Deluxe Twin, can accommodate 3 adults and 1 child.

AAnonymous UserThe room was nice and comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is very accessible. My only concern is they clean the room on the 2nd night even though we don't request it. We are shocked when we are back in the room 😂.We really appreciate the initiative but we hope next time, ask permission first. And for the pool, it's too cold. Hoping next time you will have a heated pool 😊 The overall experience was good. We will be back again.

GGuest UserThis was an amazing trip! I haven't had a chance to write a review but here it goes. 1. The staff - Super amazing and friendly, always smiling and helpful. 2. The managers - great, caring, funny and always went above and beyond to help and accommodate. 3. Resort - Amazing ocean view and lots of activities, we went back 3 times in a span of 2 weeks. Lol 4. Room - clean and comfortable! 5. Food and drinks - delicious and amazing! One of the best in the Philippines. I've been to many hotels and resorts worldwide, but this has been the top of all of my stays. The vibe, the friendliness, activities, food and drinks. I've never felt so relaxed and I didn't even need to use my phone. No stress and all good vibes! Waking up to see the ocean with a nice cup of coffee with smooth music, it makes the hours of drive (almost 4 hours one way) to there well worth it. In my opinion, this was more than a stay, this was an unforgettable experience! We have been through the regular days and also the typhoon days, they have been amazing and helpful the whole time! It was definitely an adventure! Now I'm back in Florida again and I miss this place, but I'm planning a visit the Philippines next year and I will make this my top place to visit!

VVeronica ArlyneWe love the aesthetic of the place.. although some of the area seemed abandoned or neglected.. but it didn’t really matter much coz there’s still the other spots that are well maintained. The service was good, though a little less prompt .. one particular case was with the tv.. we asked the operator to have someone to come check the connection but it took a while and I had to make a follow up call .. overall we had pleasant experience .. worth visiting and staying for a short getaway from the busy city life

EESTEE GWA7Overall experience is good and we are planning to go back sometime in week 4 of MAY or week 1 of JUNE 2025. It was a great experience and good accommodation for the amount we paid. Although, the room where we stayed ( Room 211 ) has no internet at all so we heavily rely on our mobile phone data. I need to check my business operation but without internet in quite unusual for a hotel accommodation nowadays. Hope to be placed in a room with internet connection in our next stay 3 weeks from now.
