zsandra the guide was terrific. the two-part pick up for the tour was a bit stressful, having to find another hotel on my own. directions for that could have been more clear.

Our best tour yet! Our guide, Kevin, was exceptional. He spoke excellent English. He gave us the history of Malta. He was a gentleman and very polite. He went out of way to accommodate us. Kevin made sure we hit all the highlights. He also gave us water and purchased honey buns for us which were wonderful 😋 We were there on a Saturday afternoon and there was a Grand Prix being held in Mdina. Kevin made sure we were still able to spend time in Mdina by careful planning and timing. He also told us about Fontanella’s restaurant in Mdina which was superb! Can’t say enough good things about this tour!

Such a great experience to see the island and learn about the culture without feeling rushed. Roamed thru the empty streets in Birgu then made my way to the blue gratto before cruise ship goers flooded the area. We even stopped at places that weren’t on my itinerary and it made for a perfect day. Request a local Maltese driver to get the full experience as they also will share history about the island vs just driving you around.

Guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had just the right amount of time at each stop and appreciated the quick transportation back to our hotel. Can’t think of anything that needs to be done better.

We had a 14 hr layover in Malta and decided to do a Malta city tour. Aldo picked us up at the airport at 8:30am and was fantastic tour guide/driver from start to finish. My friends and I could not have asked for a better experience seeing Malta! Not only did he take us to see all of the amazing landscape of Malta but he also explained the history and culture of the Maltese people along with fun tidbits of pop culture like all the many films and locations used in Malta for movies such as Gladiator, Game of Thrones, and many many others. We saw the Blue Grotto, Dingli Cliffs, Mdina, the capital, Valletta, and much much more. As we made our way in our air conditioned, comfortable van through the narrow streets of Malta, we felt safe with Aldo. He was thoughtful enough to make sure we had bottled water, a traditional Maltese pastry for us to try and a little memento of our trip. All entry fees to temple sights, cathedrals, etc. were included in the package. Because our tour ended at 5:30 and we still had 5 hrs before our flight, Aldo recommended a wonderful authentic Maltese restaurant for dinner in the city center of Valletta that was fantastic.

From our initial queries during the booking process right through to being dropped off at the end of the day, the service from The Island Traveller was excellent. Our driver, Christopher, took my family and me on a full-day tour and truly made the experience special. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to recommend some fantastic places for us to visit that we might otherwise have missed. His local insight really added value to the day. The car itself was very comfortable and luxurious, making travelling around the island relaxed and enjoyable for all of us. We wouldn’t hesitate to use The Island Traveller again and will definitely request Christopher next time we’re in Malta. Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
