Booked this tour not knowing what to expect. First ever ‘official tour” in all of our global travels.
Booking app was easy to use confirmation was within 30 minutes.
Pick up location was centrally located at the Auckland Ferry on Quay Street a 30 minute Uber ride from our hotel.
Promptly at 10am an 18 passenger shuttle van showed up it was clearly marked Auckland City Tours. Thirteen eager adventurers piled into a spotlessly clean and comfy vehicle ready to see the sights.
Josh, was both driver and tour director intro himself and in minutes the adventure commenced.
Josh, was a delightful, informative, quasi comedian tour director. His spiel was effortless from start to end. His knowledge of Auckland including historical references to homes, buildings, lumber used for historical homes and Māori culture was shared in a light hearted format included photos and show & tell items like a bungy cord and lava rock.
The snack stop was perfect we were able to order a vegetarian pie which was great for needs.
Josh was an excellent tour guide very personable and casually funny.
I would do another with him if one existed.★

Advil was a wonderful tour guide. We had a private four hour tour for city highlights. Advil was very informative in both the city, and New Zealand history. We asked many questions and he had the answers! We appreciated that he took time to identify both plant and bird life that we were interested in.
