Wow, we had a great time! And, there were only 2 of us on the tour! Juan, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the ecology and wildlife of the park as well as the history of the canal and U.S. involvement in Panama's politics. On top of that, he has lived an amazing (still young) life. If you go with his company, be sure to ask him about how he got to where he is today on the way back to your hotel. We saw, and fed from our hands, wild capuchin monkeys, saw a tamarin monkey and a howler (unfortunately he didn't howl.) The capuchins will come onto the boat and sit in your lap if you feed them grapes (provided by Juan!) While we were feeding the capuchins, one of the monkeys accidently knocked Juan's cell phone out of his hand and into the lake. Phone lost but Juan did not miss a beat during the tour. Be sure to use bug repellent for the hike part of the tour. Pickup and drop-off at your hotel. Thoroughly recommend his company.★

This tour was amazing! And the driver/tour guide was an absolute gem. We learnt more about Panama in 5hrs than I did about my own country 😂 This is an absolute must when coming to Panama, even if it's just for a stop over.★

We didn't get to go through the Panama Canal on our cruise ship, but this was a nice way to see it. We saw a large ship go through all the locks, and the tour explained how the Canal worked, which I had not known previously (I thought it was just a ditch connecting the two oceans).
The tour of the Fort was interesting too, but very hot. I enjoyed seeing the wildlife in the area: a sloth, coatis, and numerous birds!★

Daniel was a great tour guide along with his partner Juliet “The Monkey” Whisperer. I went on the morning tour which is recommended for a better chance of seeing the monkeys. He was humorous very informative and was kind to ask questions that wasn’t tour related. Juliet is truly a monkey whisperer as our boat is where all the monkeys wanted to be.★

We thoroughly enjoyed this experience. John, our tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and enjoyable. Manuel our driver was excellent. The boat ride on Lake Gatun was exceptional. John and our boat driver, found us lots of wildlife to include many bird species, capuchin monkeys, Howler monkeys, Tamarinds, Iguanas and lots of beautiful plants/trees.
Manuel even found us a sloth on our ride to Agua Clara so we stopped to take photos of it in the tree.
Agua Clara was a neat experience to see a container ships pass through and learn about the new locks, how they work, and the history of the canal.
Fort San Lorenzo is where we had lunch. The food was really good - chicken with stewed tomatoes, rice, lentils (so good!), salad, and sweet plantains. As we ate, we saw a white-nosed coati, who came right up to us begging for food.
The fort was neat with lots of beautiful views of the Caribbean Sea below.
This tour is well worth the money and getting up early to see the wildlife and avoid the crowds! Highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to learn about the history of the canal, Panamanian wildlife, and John also provided lots of references to movies, videos, books, restaurants and shops in/about Panama. It was a great day!
