I saw the historical sites with an amazing guide, Furkan Karagun! He has so much knowledge about everything we saw and presented in a friendly way. He was very accommodating about my physical limitations too. He has great English and is very charming! In the vehicle between sites we shared many cultural practices and I got to understand Turkey 🇹🇷 on a more in depth level from him . If you can get him for your guide, you will be very lucky !!!★

Our guide, ALİ, picked us up at the cruise port and took us directly to the Ancient site. His knowledge of the history and architecture, changes in topography over the centuries and cultural insights into the people who walked those roads gave us a realistic understanding of the city.
We were also able to explore the Archeological Museum, and the remnants of both the Church of St John the Apostle and the temple of Artemis.
We enjoyed a delicious lunch of local food, we did have wine which was not included in the price but was very reasonable. Following lunch, we were given a hands on tour of a rug making school. I was given the honor of putting two knots into a rug. We also watched silk fibers being extracted from their cocoons.
Our friends on the cruise ship only saw a small fraction of this for the same cost.

The tour was excellent! Ali, the guide, did a great job and helped us learn a lot about places we visited.
The driver deserves being mentioned too: he helped us make it safely to Pamakkule and back.
Wish we van do it it again.
