We had a great day, our guide and driver were both excellent. Our guide was very informative on route to Vesuvius, Advise (take your hiking boots or walking shoes for the final trip up) on route back we stopped off and had some lunch at lovely pizza restaurant we then headed off to Pompeii.
Pompeii was extremely busy but we were well looked after in our group and taken to all the most interesting places within the city.
We can highly recommend this tour agreat day out and food and drink included 😎★

A great day out. Well organised and friendly staff.
The meeting instructions were clear and the team were there early to greet everyone before we went to the coach. Spent 2 hours at Pompeii where the tour shows you the highlight and the key points before a lunch break. The lunch is not included but the restaurant has a set menu for €17 per person.
The afternoon was a short drive up to the entrance to Vesuvius national park where tickets were provided and got to spend an hour to climb the final part to the peak where you get great views of the coast.
Then a coach ride back to the start completes the day.
Overall a great experience and well worth it as everything is well planned and organised. Would recommend.★

We booked 2 tours with Askos, one 3-hour private tour in Pompei, and a second 2-hour tour of Herculaneum with a private guide the next day. Both were absolutely amazing. Our guides were different, both named Mena, and both were extremely knowledgeable and friendly and on time. They let us ask all the questions we wanted and were extremely patient. We had skip the line entry and never waited anywhere. At Pompei, having a group of 2 often allowed Mena #1 to convince large groups to let us move ahead. She was never pushy but her solid contacts were of major benefit and allowed us to make good use of our 3 hours. I strongly recommend a minimum of 3 hours because there is so much to see. Two hours would definitely be an hour too little. 4 hours would probably be phenomenal. We watched and listened as several large groups tried to listen to their guides but anyone at the rear of the group was really unable to hear, and they were not getting the level of information that we received. In fact, many times, when one of our Menas was explaining details to us, they listened to her intently, thrilled to be able to hear her fascinating story of Pompei. Pompei has bathrooms at the entrance and one more near an active archaeological excavation site so be prepared. Herculaneum is much smaller and only has one bathroom which is located at the entrance. We felt like the 2 hour private tour there was sufficient. Herculaneum and Pompei are both fascinating and different. Herculaneum feels more intimate, almost like you’ve been invited to someone’s home. Pompei is much larger and gives you the idea of what it was like to live in a busy town. Visiting these ancient sites had been on my radar for years, and Askos did not let us down. We did not use their transfer service since we stayed in the lovely Habita79 Hotel in Pompei, a wonderful experience in itself. Thank you to both Menas and Askos for fulfilling my lifelong dream!★

Alfredo, our private tour guide was excellent! He was so polite and accommodating of my inabilty to walk fast due to a recent foot injury. He had a great sense of humor. Was very knowledgeable and made the private tour just grand!★

Excellent tour with Alfredo. The ruins are stunning and Alfredo really brought the ruins to life. The fresco’s, the homes of the merchants and the rich, shops. Streets with their drainage and cleaning systems.
