Pompeii was magnificent, but the weather was scorching. However, since the volcano tour was canceled, the trip wasn't too tiring. There were plenty of shopping opportunities along the way, giving us plenty of time to rest. We finally arrived back late. The tour leader said we could get a refund, but I'm not sure if trip.com will give us one.★

It was the first time when I travelled alone with a tour group and things were really great. We went to Vezuviu, where we had 1h 30 minutes to climb it up and down (it's not a difficult hike if you are used with hiking, but you need the minimum equipment, trainers, and take for safety a raincoat with you in case of rain). Then we went to Pompeii where we had a great tour guide, very smart and hilarious at the same time. We didn't see all of the Pompeii, but I did learn a lot of new things and I think our guide highlighted the most important things from there. It was a long journey by bus (around 12 hours) but we had breaks and our main tour guide, Marius, was also very friendly and funny, gave us a lot of information, gave us some tips not only about what to expect in the places that we visited, but also about Rome, and he made sure that we we were ok. A plus is also the lunch, very good pizza, which was included in the price. For me, after walking a lot in Rome these days, it was kind of a break and a trip that I really needed. ★

We had a great tour experience with Frankie! He was very knowledgeable and friendly. We came 2 years ago and this time we were able to see more of Pompeii. Mount Versuvio is amazing but be prepared for a very steep climb. Paolo was our driver and he was great too.
