This was our first outing in Iceland and it was AWESOME! Julia was our tour guide and you could tell she REALLY loves what she does, which made it that much more enjoyable. Her nuggets of information about glaciers were super helpful to really envision what we were hiking on and she paced the tour to the level of hikers in our group perfectly. She is even a great photographer and offered to take pictures of us and gave us plenty of time to take photos. The tour and company itself seem super well organized and friendly.★

This is a perfect introduction to glacier hiking! Me and my wife booked with the company and, since we’ve never done glacier hiking, we were a bit worried that it could be more complicated than we would’ve imagined. However, this was one of the best adventures we’ve ever done in our life. Our guide was the cheerful Ísabella Sól, who is way more than just a great guide, but also a lovely person. I would really recommend, if you had the chance of choosing the guides, to book with her. She made our first experience not only incredibly pleasant, but also reassured us and everyone in the group constantly, while keeping the whole’s group spirits up. She also allowed us a lot of freedom—while following the safety protocols, of course—which for me (who normally don’t like guided tours) was paramount. We really barely saw the time passing, because we were in constant awe with the glacier and the very interesting information brought by Ísabella. This is surely an experience we plan in doing again, when we come back to Iceland. So I strongly recommend booking this if you’re up to a new adventure in Iceland! Oh, and if you’re also trying to learn some Icelandic, Ísabella has also proven to be a good teacher 😄 So, if you book it—and are brave enough to try some Icelandic—you’ll get this extra experience for free 😄
